I’ve lived through all the painful losses of the past 30 years, but this one is the most frustrating. Our TEAM outplayed San Francisco for 60 minutes and deserved to win that game. You couldn’t say that in any of the previous 6 straight divisional round losses, we just weren’t good enough in those games and got beat by the better team. I can live with that.

But we didn’t need an A+ effort from the quarterback to win this one. He didn’t have to carry this team. He simply had to manage the game and not lose it, AND HE COULDNT DO THAT.

What are we doing here with this guy?! How many more seasons of elite defensive play are we going to waste on this third rate quarterback?! He simply had to protect the football and we win this easily!!! There’s no up and down with him, the guy can’t hit NFL throws on a routine basis! He doesn’t see the field or have any pocket presence… he’s turning 30!!

He was pressured FIVE TIMES ALL GAME!!!! THE OLINE PITCHED A NEAR FLAWLESS GAME IN PASS PROTECTION AGAINST THE TOP D IN THE LEAGUE!!! If he can’t avoid self destructing with the performance the rest of his team game him today it’s time to MOVE ON!!!

I said the following in another thread, and believe it more as each minute passes....we win today with Cooper Rush at QB...he doesn't throw the dumb picks, and he doesn't miss seeing the countless open WR's that Dak missed.

Dak is pyrite; otherwise known as fool’s gold. He is like the classic bully in the schoolyard……picks on guys smaller than him yet cowers to people of the same stature or larger. His ceiling has been reached and is now going back down.

Disagree we outplayed SF.
Agree Dak's poor play was the reason for the loss.
Game was even until Kittle's play and b2b penalties.
They made 4 plays more than we did.

Dak didn't need to do anything heroic tonight. He just had to take what's there and not hurt his team.

His turnovers, one in the red zone, ended up being the difference in the game.
This is spot on. Those sideline come back routes are his achilles. Had he even thrown 1 less int this game outcome likely looks different.

People used to complain about Dak being too conservative, but now he's gone more aggressive. Dak the consetvstive game manager would have won this one today.

When you consider it was 6-6 at one point, and that's after two picks and a missed extra point. We didn't outplay them all game, but we outplayed them early on. But you have to expect them to punch back, and they did. The last thing we needed was a liability at QB.

If we had known it was going to go down like this, I have faith Cooper Rush could have led us to a win. And not screwed it up.

You are correct. All he had to do was manage the game.

Yep the rest of the team played well enough to go into San Francisco and beat a good team. The quarterback completely prevented them from doing so

Yeah, but we were in the redzone and it was 2nd and 2. You could have scored TDs on those drives. But instead you gave them points.

True story on those sideline routes. The majority of his INTs seem to be those sideline routes where he throws the ball a bit off balance and off the back foot.

I can't tell if Dak can't read a defense or what. Last game, he seemed to look off the safety and then go back to Dalton Schultz. What if he is just predetermining what he's going to do and it looks like he's reading the defense? A lot of his INTs are head scratchers and seem like he decided that's where he was going to go with the pass no matter what.
