Maybe because it’s based on numbers and performance through 3 games, not based on history and pure skill. Mahommes will be at the top later if his pattern hold true, but most analysts don’t think he’s played super so far.

I think it’s right on, and I see nothing wrong with 13. He’s an above average QB; there are 32 starting QBs. He and his supporting cast have played 3 games in a somewhat new offense with a new play caller, new OC, and new OL coach, along with not having its starting line together for even the first game.

Dak has always been 10-15 territory. Now with kellen gone , and the fact MM does not trust Dak's long ball, the average per throw has declined significantly ( currently dak averaging 6.3 yards per throw) which means MM is dumming the offense for dak. Good defenses will test this and scheme around it. This is how Dallas usually lose in the playoff or against good defenses. Let us not forget Dallas only scored 12 points against the 49ers in the playoff. Despite a valiant defensive showing by the cowboys holding the niners to 16 points on the road.

Not claiming Dak should be higher or lower. Just saying lists like this are based off opinion and can fluctuate every week. For example in the opener Josh Allen looked like the worst QB in football.

Just my opinion, week to week QB indexes are a waste of time. They're only good if you want to spark debate; and since this is a forum for discussion that part holds true.

They like to flip flop when what they complain about gets proven wrong.

Example, the first couple of years they said Dak is a bus driver he doesn't have stats, once Dak started having huge numbers it turned to garbage time stats and they rather have a guy like Rush that doesn't lose games. I remember when Dak hardly turned the ball over they complained he doesn't take enough chances. Also they use to say dink and dunk and they wanted Dak to push the ball down field....... All those things they flip flop on plus many others.

This guy has reading comprehension problems or recall. The complaints started with Dak is and has always been a bus driver, this was followed by Daksters posting all these empty stats, then that was followed by garbage time stats which everyone agrees are when game is out of reach and defense starts playing prevent defense. Then a few weeks ago everyone started saying what they’ve always said and that’s that Dak is a busdriver. Don’t like it, it sucks and has sucked the life out of some of over the past eight years. Fact is I don’t care about his stats because it’s not about him, all we care about is winning in a sustainable way, which Dak doesn’t do against better teams or in the playoffs. Nobody cares about beating TB bc that team sucked and everyone knew it. Daksters like empty stats and they can have them and take him to another team after this year. I will continue to hope for the best while Dak is a cowboy, but no one will be convincing me he is better than he appears after he loses again this year. As I stated when we lost again to Niners Dak sucks, dak sucks, dak sucks. I’ve seen it and had enough over eight years and ready for the Daksters to be held accountable. You love him so much then turn your accounts off when he loses again in the playoffs and don’t come on here and pretend like we forgot the previous year, or years before that. Cowboys fans were chirping in my mentions all weekend about how unfairly I'd treated their quarterback, and for a moment, I thought they might be right. Were Jared Goff and Geno Smith really better than Prescott through two weeks? Well, they certainly were in Week 3. At face value, Prescott's numbers were still pretty solid, but Dallas failed to piece together enough positive plays to keep up with Arizona's surprisingly productive offense. The Cowboys failed to convert on the doorstep of the end zone, turning it over on downs on fourth-and-3 from the Cardinals’ 4 because Jake Ferguson and CeeDee Lamb couldn't get open in the end zone, and safety K'Von Wallace eliminated Prescott's chance of scrambling for a touchdown. Then they failed to score a touchdown again in the red zone, settling for a field goal to briefly cut Arizona’s lead to 21-16. And finally, with Dallas desperately needing a touchdown, the Cowboys' star quarterback threw an ugly end-zone interception on a pass tossed directly to Kyzir White, the underneath defender in triple coverage. White might have been able to make that interception with his eyes closed. Prescott played well between the 20s, but Dallas' struggles in the red zone directly contributed to their loss -- and in those moments, that's where the quarterback needs to be the star.
