Amari Cooper made him a better QB, no one is gonna be able to tell me that's not the case..his WR's after CeeDee just aren't there this year and it is showing. I am hopeful TY hilton will help some in the coming weeks, coverage will have to be honest against CeeDee now. Does anyone really think a defense was scared of a returning ACL Gallup and Noah Brown? There's a reason they signed TY Hilton and were trying to sign OBJ. The FO sucked this off season.
Coop has pure crap QBs at Cleveland this year and has almost 1000 receiving yards. Now, Jerry is trying to figure out how to get more production at Wide receiver by signing guys off the streets. Those are straight up facts. The fact that we got almost zero in a trade is flat out amazing.

Are you surprised with who’s running the show?

Let Cooper walk…do nothing to replace…watches WRs not being good…scrambles to sign WRs off the street.

The Jones at their finest.

In defense of the mouthbreather, yes it is bad news when Deek throws to tight coverages, but it is Moore trying to force things.
Deek is a sidelines passer and a 10-yards flats passer, only.
He is like me annoying neighbor, noodle arm and sightless beyond 20 yards.

Deek is a bust but much of this stems from Kellen "Mr. Ed" Moore.

I would hold judgement on that . Lamb seems to be on his way to a 100 catch season with over 1200 yards and Brown looks like he will have 50 catches. They are currently are 10 and 4 and now have Hilton coming into the mix. It might turn out very good.

When Dak was good he drove the bus. Now in he is trying to be "the guy" and finding out that he literally can't and unfortunately our coaches keep trying to force it.

I think a lot of people knew Dak was limited and never was going to live up to 40 million a year QB. He can be very good and effective under the right OC but will never be under the current idiot.

There's a fine line between aggressive and reckless. To go from 37/10 last year to 17/11 this year is reckless. He needs to find the line again.
If Dak would dial it down a bit, Moore is less (pun intended), and take what is given rather than forcing it, he would not have the high interception rating and this offense would be stinging.

Instead, rather than by play design (Moore), or over ego and feel the need to make highlight reel throws, this offense is becoming highly defendable by DCs in this post season that figure it out quickly and feed like sharks on weakness.

Just a bit more conservative Dak would improve his game immensely, and the results would be positive.

Dak has entered the zone where he has to elevate his receiving options, they will not be improving any time soon.

BOOM.

The pro Dak crowd will tell you it's Dak's mobility that creates the lack of sacks and pressures but that doesn't add up either.

5 of those games featured Cooper Rush under center. Not exactly fleet of foot.
And Dak isn't near as mobile as he used to be, not to mention his pocket presence and awareness lacks a lot as well.

And least pressures is another story entirely.
Theoretically a very agile QB with great pocket presence could evade sacks with pure instinct/awareness/athleticism

but pressure is pressure. And if the Cowboys are top 5 in least pressures allowed, as much as we pass, then the "pass rush win rate" stat is seriously flawed.

Dak's decline in mobility is an under analyzed part of his struggles. On the rare occasions he does try to break contain, it's painful to watch him labor to the boundary as edge rushers and thumper LBs gain ground on him from behind.

To me this really isn't too meaningful. Dak is still the same QB he always was. How many times have we seen tipped passes or a QB's arm being hit that leads to a pick? Not just Dak but across the NFL?

In the past (for Dak) a lot of those passes hit the ground or were dropped by the defense. This year they aren't. A lot of it is Dak being too aggressive, another part of it is just plain bad luck.

It makes you wonder, how the hell are we riding a top 3 offense??????

I believe all TD's including defensive TD's are taken into account

My feelings have been that Dak took it personal when Amari asked for more targets. https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news/frustrated-dallas-amari-cooper-dak-prescott-targets-washington

Mouth breather is 10 in football in YPA. So this is wrong.

Noah is a JAG. He was our #5 last year
on a team that actually had weapons.

I've been a Cowboys fan for close to 30 years now and I've never seen such a willingness to dismiss interceptions.

Some posters on this forum act as if Dak is the first and only QB to throw a pick because a WR ran the run route, bobbled a ball that a DB scooped up, broke a route off too late/early, or didn't cross the face of a defender allowing him to step in front for the pick.

How many of Troys INTs were because of these factors? What about Quincy Carter, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Bledsoe, or Tony Romo?

I'm still amazed that we get 10-20+ page threads blindly defending Dak's turnovers. Sometimes it feels like there are more Dak fans here than Dallas fans.

Aikman earned this fan base three championships and even he didn't get the same benefit of the doubt that Dak does. It's wild.

I think he has proven his value. Right or wrong he is our number 2 WO this year. He has earned his paycheck a lot more then other receivers this year. Both Gallop and Schultz are not providing much return on investment.

If Dak plays poorly and Dallas in bounced from the playoffs then the criticism is well deserved.

That is true…but there will be varying opinions on his play regardless. Rather deserved or not.
I have not been pleased with his overall play as of late. But I am not going to be too critical yet. Because he had not been a total disaster either. Will see how he responds going forward. Not going to be on an emotional roller coaster.

Yea, MG has been a non factor. The fact that Noah is our 2nd best WR is laughable.

I don't get the Dak hate-yet none on this pathetic defense. Even with the turn overs he's scoring over 30 points. If the piss poor defense does their job!! And the piss poor coaching staff had done their job. We 're probably undefeated or tied with Philly. So, you guys blaming Dak for the boneheaded play call of Moore? He and McFly did better game time management we win on Sunday!!! Dak never throws the 2nd int. McFly, Quinn and Moore suck! No quarterback can fix that! Without Dak this is a 6 win team at best. No other quarterback has us with a better record now. Even with Mahomes. He doesn't score 40 and have no turn overs. He loses also Sunday. So, are we going to be serious in here or not???

Nah man. Haven’t you heard? Rush is better and the defense plays harder for him. This team is undefeated with Rush.

The same defense that stood up for Dak when Rush was winning????:muttley:I get ya:laugh:But like I said. The way this defense is playing -no quarterback would win here now. Including Rush.
