Dak didn't put a gun to Jerry's head. If you don't think Dak was worth it-why should Jerry? I'd of taken Darnold next year in free agency and let Dak walk. That's what you call being a GM. What Jerry did you call..."soft". It's not Dak's responsibility to save the team-it's Jerry's. A job he's been sucking at for 30 years and counting. So put the blame where it belongs! The GM!! His rosters have done well against mostly bottom feeding teams or teams that are one dimensional. The NFC has been historically weak from 2020 to 2023 and it's benefited us greatly.

Last season was the perfect season to illustrate what I'm suggesting. Case in point;

Destroyed by the running games of the Cardinals, Niners who run the ball heavily and then losses to the Bills, Dolphins and Packers who have potent offenses......the biggest win was against the Lions which was razor thin.

They just haven't been built well enough to seriously and consistently contend for a championship and the playoffs bear that out.

Those 12 win seasons were smoke and mirrors .
