I like it. I coached for 20 years. Never did i buy into slogans. In my 6 years coaching varsity softball we won 5 league titles and 1 2nd. Screw slogans. Win or don't.

Hopefully we can win a bunch of games, but no team has ever been able to score 35 every week. We actually had to try to do that last year, dragging a historically horrible defense.

Missed the playoffs by only a couple of games. You are right, if we have to score 35 a week, bad things are happening elsewhere.

So far I've seen two players mention this. Guyton's quote and a clip of an interview with Lamb. Both of them made it a point to be crystal clear that this is Dak's thing. They ain't taking no credit whatsoever for this. Lol

Lamb pronounced it like John Gotti.

There’s nothing wrong with confidence. Hell, you should believe you can win the Super Bowl if you're playing quarterback in the NFL, but there’s a difference between “we believe we can win” and “we have created a brand around how badass we are.”

And that's really what makes the GOTI thing so funny. Greatest Offense There Is is already a goofy, self-appointed nickname. It's like when you meet one of those guys who says, “Call me The Hammer,” and then you eventually find out he gave himself that nickname.
It's just so cheesy.

All that needs to be said is “The Super Bowl is the goal. We believe we have the talent to get there, and we're going to work our ***** off to make it happen.”

That's it.

No acronym.
No self-awarded nickname.
No championship merch in July.

Just go win the thing.
