I get that it's preseason, but watching Barham out there making plays is very promising. We may have stole one—thank Michigan for playing him out of place last year. He looks like a natural at LB. I'm impressed.

Not so fast....consider the opposition...the Cards were one of the worst teams in the league a year ago and are pretty much in the middle of a complete rebuild. Howell played well last week against a much better group.

I have a hunch he's going to turn into quite the machine at forcing fumbles.

Something I saw last week and now here on a couple of plays:

Marist Liufau is getting a good jump and is using his burst of speed to get into the backfield.

He's got some work to do on the overall technique (spins, dips, etc) but that jump and initial burst is showing.

Quality depth is a luxury in the NFL and if Liufau can be quality depth, great.
