Preseason Schedule Question

I would expect to see 3rd pre season game as our so called dress rehearsal with the final pre season game played with little to no starters to allow them a week off prior to the season and of course avoiding injury heading into week 1

I'd be fine seeing the ones for a single series against Arz, and maybe two for Houston. I've got a feeling a bunch of teams will be gassed and injured when that 17th game is played. Crossing my fingers the Boys aren't one of them.

This year we have 4 but going forward with 3 it does change the strategy of when to do your dress rehearsal
I assume teams will use the second

I would think so as well, teams want to hit week 1 with as healthy as they can be, why risk that on a final pre season game? Let the 2nd string and bubble players finish it out

With only 3 games. Will we see the veterans debut more in the 2nd game oppose to the normal 3rd game.
Good question.
The Cowboys and Steelers with their HOF exhibition will have four games, so they may stick with now defunct pre-2020 way - starters and key reserve \ role players going through the 3rd quarter of the Texans game (no. 3).

The 2nd to last preseason game is traditionally treated as the dress rehearsal for the veterans. I'm sure you can do the math from there.

I’d be fine seeing no preseason games.
