You're really trying to create your own narrative around preseason. Nobody bases season expectations on preseasonWhatever you think of any team while watching a ps game…don’t base your expectations for the team this upcoming season based on that. Including the Cowboys. PS games mean zero in terms of what a team is going to be.
It’s this terrible every year.I don't do a lot of preseason watching. I'll watch the Cowboys. But I watched a few games this year. Man is it awful. Is it this bad every year? I can't even blame the quarterbacks because the offensive lines are nonexistent. The QB gets the ball and is under immediate pressure. Only enough time to dump it off.
He looked ok in the XFL but did a lot of the same dumb things. He is an NFL level 3d string QB...might someday by a 2nd string level. He looked good in the XFL, but that was probably a big fish, small pond kinda thing.
Actually both teams looked good at the end of the game...DiNucci moved the Brincos right down the field for a TD after they did very little all night. Blough did the same for the Cardinals.Payton was trying to win and he loses. Lol
Yes not a good look but I think its one of those GPS trackers "vest".not a good look
Wilson looks awful.
And Maher missed his 2nd field goal haha
Yeah it allows you to run plays as designed a little better, but at the same time, does using your starting OL against a bunch of guys who will likely be cut really do a better job of giving a realistic evaluation when they might just totally dominate and give guys huge holes to run through and tons of time to throw? Now the 2nd RB/QB come in w/o that same line and are supposed to do as well?I know this is never going to happen. But if in preseason teams used their starting OL, you can get a better evaluation of players. It's hard to evaluate players when the OL breaks down almost immediately. Of course they have to evaluate offensive lineman as well, but do they have to do it all at once?
Teams that play their starting QB for a couple series in preseason games will also play their starting OL for the series that the starting QB is in there.I know this is never going to happen. Agreed. It's mainly to evaluate backup QBs and WRs. It's not ideal, but it gives them a chance.Yeah it allows you to run plays as designed a little better, but at the same time, does using your starting OL against a bunch of guys who will likely be cut really do a better job of giving a realistic evaluation when they might just totally dominate and give guys huge holes to run through and tons of time to throw? Agreed. I just don't think putting in all backup offensive lineman does the team justice to evaluate players. If a backup QB has to play, he's going to be playing with a starting offensive line. It's hard to evaluate a car without its engine. Similarly with backup QBs.Teams that play their starting QB for a couple series in preseason games will also play their starting OL for the series that the starting QB is in there.
You will never see many starting OL in there when the backup QBs are getting playing time. One of the many negatives of being a backup QB.
I love watching the depth of the OL play in the preseason. We all know that EVERY year OLs are hit with a rash of injuries. Those cats out there in preseason games will be starters and depended on to help win games this season.
Quality depth= Quality team.
Good to know you are supporting J-Love. He is extremely talented and a high quality individual. Should be fun for all NFL fans to watch him grow into a superstar.Agreed. Just so you know, I am not rooting against Jordan Love. I hope he becomes a great QB, just not against us.
Good Lord, The Bears need to start building a team. How long has it been? They have a Jalen Hurts type QB but without the supporting cast. They will yet again be the bottom feeder in the NFC North.Good to know you are supporting J-Love. He is extremely talented and a high quality individual. Should be fun for all NFL fans to watch him grow into a superstar.
Bears fans are really not ready for it though. They are completely unhinged and panicked already.
haha, ya Flamma, and why most teams are refusing to expose their starting QBs.I don't do a lot of preseason watching. I'll watch the Cowboys. But I watched a few games this year. Man is it awful. Preseason is about watching individual players trying to make it in the league. They are practice games.I don't do a lot of preseason watching. I'll watch the Cowboys.
