:pray::pray::pray:Jimmy Is Coming Home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you mentioned this was a joke because seeing this posted so many times lately has really made me question some of the Boys fans around here.

Firing will not fix things, but hiring the right guy as a replacement will.

Whose the right guy? Whose sitting at home, right now, who you believe has any interest in taking over this team in the middle of a season?

Look at our fan base. A Large percentage of Cowboys fans know nada about anything that is football.

Exactly. The vast majority don't know crap. I know that I, for one, am willing to admit that I don't know nearly enough about football to comment on a lot of it. I do think some coaching changes are an order for this team but not in the middle of a season.

Cool, just checking :) I too like what we accomplished when JJ was here, but those days are long gone and not coming back.

I think alot of people forget Jerry has been out of it for 15 years...that would be a HUGE issue, IMO, even if he decided to come back.

Cowher maybe providing he could get Jerry to backoff. The Cowboys have a ton of talent and only need direction. The Cowboys are one of the biggest franchises in the world. An extremely high profile job that would carry a big salary.

I think without question, he would consider it. ...of course that doesn't mean he would take it.

Not in the middle of the season.

Firing Wade Phillips in the middle of the season is something only an old senile man such as Al Davis would do.

Or a Cowboy fan....

Seems to be working for the Rams right now but they probably have a more sensable GM and owner that Dallas does.

Here is the thing I have come to realize over the past few years, we have a wonderful, great, one of the best in the league owners...

We have one of the worst GMs.

Cowher would be a great coaching canidate but I don't know that I've heard him say he's even interested in coaching again right now. And I, for one, don't believe he'd willing deal with Jerry Jones.

I agree with that to a point. Now if the owner would fire the GM then I'd give him a A+. But the GMs performance is a indictment on the owner.

Really? Then why are we loaded with talent? Generally bad GMs (Like Millen with the Lions) are fired because they screw that part up.

Jerry hired Parcells, Parcells loaded the team with talent. That all started with Jerry. I give him an A+

If...IF Jerry was going to fire Wade I would have to think he would wait until the bye week...at the earliest.

Chances are that if he is going to fire Wade it will not be till the offseason.

You are right. After the Giants game since they will just physically pulborize us with the run. Garret will be the interim coach, Jerry get's his looksy at Big Red and Campo would be the DC. 4-3 would also happen. Total meltdown and after the Giants give us our 4th loss in a row. Drastic changes scheme wise defensively would occur with Wade gonzo. Brian Stewart gets the axe before Wade, that's who's gonna get clobbered this week.

I think a way that Jerry might work it is to say get rid of Read. Wade will bulk, as he did in Buffalo concerning Read. And Jerry can spin it he wanted to keep Wade but Wade would not let Read go.

Agreed.

The only thing that would do is to say that they have given up on the season. With the talent and payroll of this team, Jerry would never do that IMO.

Now the offseason...???

As for the Rams. I think that they also "gave up" on the season but have been fighting hard from top to bottom. And remember, Haselett was already on the team. Who do we have that could step up and take over??

I'm not for a whole house cleaning, but I sure would like to see a new DC and special teams coach soon.

Are we really LOADED with talent? I'm just asking, or is it the media telling us how talented we are???
I do know the talent now is a heck of a lot better then it has been in the past.

Barber, Felix, Romo, Gurode, BIGG Davis, Ware, Ratliff, Newman, Hamlin, Witten, Ellis, Spencer

How many teams can you name that have that level of quality in that many players.

All great players does not make a great team. Ask the Yankees and their $200M annual salary. To win, it takes a team effort. That is what you aren't getting with the Cowboys today.

The talent is there. They just aren't playing as a team.
