In response to some questions from Clarence Hill and Brad Sham, Parcells says he can't control the psyche of his team. He can only try to get them prepared.

It almost sounds like he might know he can't get them that motivated anymore.

As you guys said, he sounds pretty subdued today. He might be resigned to the effect that the buttons he used to push don't work like they ysed to.

He's quite defensive too.

Usually, he would slap a few of these silly questions down, but he just seems defenseless.

He's quipped a few times and even mentioned his job was to prepare, not motivate.

That is fairly discouraging to me.

I didn't get that from the PC at all.. I heard a HC anxious to start the post season..

Zimmer is a definite.

But, imo, BP has done all he can with this team. He got us back into the playoff hunt, but the annual collapse down the stretch has gotten old.

And, with one year left on his contract, I don't think he'll fix everything in that one season that he couldn't in the last four years. Also, if we go away from the 3-4 after he leaves, which is highly likely since most teams don't run the 3-4, then why go through another draft where we are likely to add more components for the 3-4 just for one more year?

I'd just as soon get on with the future rather than go through another so-so year with BP and then change staffs after next season. Might as well do it this year and get a head start on it.
