we have the CBs that can play it...why dont we play it?

I think with the way Ratliff, Ware, and Ellis pressure the QB, it would make our pass defense much more effective and efficient if we were to actually play on the WRs instead of giving them 10-15 yd cushions at the snap.

My guess is that it is because Henry doesn't have the wheels for it anymore.

use Henry in the slot and bring him on blitzes about 3-4 times a game.

We have Pac, Newman, Scandrick, and Jenkins. There is no reason to not use press coverage.

Heck, we could even use press on one side and zone on the other side.

i just feel press coverage would aid in our pass rush, force more incompletions, force more interceptions, and maybe create more fumbles.

When is Ellis getting any pressure up-front... Spencer needs to be seeing the field a lot more...

We did play some of it. Then Zorn kept motioning the receivers and the corners would either slip or get confused.

It didn't matter what the coverages were because Newman stunk so bad. Henry wasn't much better.

I started a thread like this weeks ago and people crucified me about how this defense won us 13 games last year.

defenses that create turnovers is what wins championships ask the giants ravens bucs and steelers heck even the colts created turnovers.

the giants corners are far worse than ours and they played the cowboys packers and new england three of the best if not the best offenses in football and they sent pressure and played man.

it helped turn arron ross from a boy to a man and madison held up.

jenkins and scandrick can lose confidence by allowing soo many catches.

you can see it in the secondary's face that they are growing fustrated with this soft zone coverage.

i hope hamlin or somebody step up and say coach stewart we want to go man to man. please somebody be a leader.

its been proven when a guy steps up and get vocal it helps.

larry johnson spoke up 2 weeks ago and he's responded with 2 great games, steven jackson responded this week with a great game as well as others.

but i think in order to reall take that next step we need to trust our db's

i thought thats why we spent all half of our cap money in the secondary

When he is not bumping the WR 15 times a game, damn Wade it worked once now he is doing this way to much.

I hope Wade is waiting for like next week to starting playing bump and run, this cover 2 man coverage is very depressing.

We pressed quite a bit. The defense struggled because they couldn't stop the run and we gave them 3rd and short.
