Another interesting stat according to PFF which could be the difference in Sunday night's game. Might explain why the Eagles offense has slowed down in some games after getting off to hot scoring starts.

like last year we dont need to blitz much to get pressure on him,i really think we can win this game even with Cooper Rush but only if we stop the run .

They don't need to blitz Hurts unless Micah doesn't play. I would just keep a spy on him all game because he wants to run the ball.

I'd like to see Quinn send 5 more often. Especially this Sunday.

What's great about this D is we are getting serious pressure with our front 4. Notice the stats say nothing about sacks, it getting pressure that makes him think and react faster than he would like.

Against Washington, Quinn had 5 guys standing at the line of scrimmage on 3rd and long:

D Law
Dante Fowler
Anthony Barr
Dorance Armstrong
Micah Parsons.

That is a killer group on 3rd and long. You have two bigger, technical guys in Lawrence and Armstrong, and three guys that have a ton of juice in Fowler, Barr, and Parsons.

Left to right Quinn had:

D Lawrence playing as a 9-tech on Strong side (or field side).
Dante Fowler playing as a 5i-tech on Strong side.
Anthony Barr as a 1-tech shaded on the weak side.
Dorance Armstrong playing as a 5-tech on Weak side (or boundary).
Micah Parsons as a 9-tech on Weak side.

And, as the season goes on, I think we’ll see Sam Williams replacing one of those guys, because Williams is growing by leaps and bounds. My guess would be to replace Barr in some situations because Williams is really strong and has past success rushing from the interior of the line (at Ole Miss).

That is a super impressive group, when talking about getting after the QB. Fowler really has some get off and with him being maybe the 3rd or 4th pass rusher that the offense needs to worry about… he will be getting big-time pressure all season.

I’m not sure if they did it for the Rams game (I haven’t rewatched it yet)… but I’d be surprised if they didn’t do the same then on long distance downs.

Wow, he don't like pressure one bit. We need to put him in the dirt early and give him something to think about.

I've seen this since his freshman year at Bama. The guy cannot conduct a passing attack under pressure. At Bama, he would just tuck and run....... granted, to great effect mostly but you can't do that in the NFL. He needs time in the pocket to SEE who is open. There are no timing or anticipatory throws. I'm shocked he is doing this well in the NFL. My guess is that many teams just don't have the dogs on the DL to get to him. We do and I anticipate seeing the erratic version of Hurts on Sunday night.
