will be an "A" priority for the Cowboys defense. Now that McNabb has his legs back. Unless pressure is coming up the middle he will pick our secondary apart or run for 1st downs.
The Eagles will be pressuring Romo right up the middle. This makes a QB have to make quick decisions.

We were getting really good pressure up the middle vs the Browns the other day.

When Zach Thomas blitzes he is like a rocket coming up the middle.

And I thought we did a really great job of picking up blitzers, no matter where they were coming from.

well Ihope Red has something planned for those blitzes: sure didn;t the last time we played them in Dallas: BUT Romo was hurt that game too. I personally think this is the whole reason Felix was drafted: quick hits over the top of that blitzing pack of dogs they have. Some in the flat, some just quick circle routes in the middle of the field like Emmitt used to do: almost impossible to stop if executed properly.

Wasn't that eagles game one of those throw-away games for the Cowboys since they basically had things wrapped up? I can't remember really.

Unless you can get instant pressure on McNabb, it almost seems better to play back, have the linemen read and react and just keep him in the pocket and give him time to throw. Just over the years it seems like if he has time, and almost has TOO much time, he gets nervous and start chunking it into the ground.

Probably a dumb thought, but I have that impression in my head.

I think we had a chance to clinch home field that week if I'm not mistaken...Either way we were playing to win and were beaten. We just did not play well.

SP.............didn't Mcnabb have around 70 seconds once, against us in '05 and completed a 50+ yard pass?

I think Ware has McNabbs number.

It's all about balance in the force.

True, but he also killed the Cowboys when given a lot of time. I think he'll have happy feet if he's forced to stay in the pocket, with Spears or Tank barreling in on him.

I'm for bringing pressure and making McNabb beat you. He is not as young as he once was and is without a top class WR core. Make those young WR make decisions on the fly with him running around.

This will be a very interesting game matchup wise.Their tackles are stout: Runyan and Thomas, but pretty old, so I expect to really rotate some guys in and/out on them all game long. Hopefully, by late in the third quarter they'll be gassed. We have a decided man power advantage on our interior Dline. I agree with the Tank/Ratliff/Canty/Spears comment. They can collapse that pocket, and they'll have to early, because their tackles may be old, but they're junk yard dogs and don't give up much before halftime. PS: I hope McFlab takes off and Zach knocks his *** out...............
