I see tavon Austin as an injury waiting to happen just like lance dunbar. just a guy who's going to miss far more time than he will play. not worth the effort to keep him around. wish we could keep Beasley, but that's not likely. however, a good receiving te would go a long way to replacing Beasley.

That's why you only use Austin for the jet sweep and in sets with more than 3 receivers to minimize the hits on his frame.

and how many times a game will that happen? and how often until every defense figures out the play just by his presence on the field. he's too limited in what he can do and too fragile to withstand the hits. ergo another dunbar. sayonara.

I think the kid is progressing well. He made some very good plays last night.
He is peaking at the right time of year. Gonna need the kid down the stretch here. He has ran precise routes...much like Cooper..now Dak needs time to find him. Collins has been a liability at RT in more ways than 1. Fleming has actually played well in place of Tyron... I say flip fleming over to RT when Tyron comes back next week. Plug Collins in at LG and call it a day. Been saying this all year.

It'd still be better than the current jet sweep with Lewis, plus you can run fakes and whatnot off the jet sweep. His speed alone will open things up. He's just not built to touch the ball 20+ times a game like Linehan said he would.

He is coming along very well. Think him and dak need to spend alot of time getting on the same page on them deep throws. Gallup had a great double move, but if you look at the play that juke he gave was big and it took some time to get back on the route. I dont think that big of a studder was needed because the CB was already biting. Dak was looking the other way and came back so i think that throw some of the timing off. But Dak put too much velocity on that ball, if he wouldve just slightly lofted it, it would've been like that first deep throw in the first quarter. It coming along, and the chemistry is getting better.

We need 2 wins to win the division...and make the playoffs. 9-7 will do it. No reason we cant do some damage in the post season.

I see 3-1 or 4-0 and no resting in week 17 except maybe like LVE. 10-6 or 11-5 would be nuts after starting 3-5.

Was thinking that too. I see the next 2 as grind it out wins. The others I just dunno...We are hot right now...just ridin the wave lol. Its a great thing to be hot this time of year. Its so uncowboy-like lol. I'll take it though. 11-5 is actually obtainable and reasonable. If we do that...HATE TO SAY IT...JG deserves to be coach of the year.

He's separating against pro corners. It's only a matter of time IMO before the big plays start coming.

Yeah I agree. I am not for paying Beasley more than we can afford. We have a lot of guys to pay.
I would love an upgrade at the punt return position
A slot guy with return skills kills two birds with one stone
Really like Beasley but to me he’s making pretty much what he’s worth as a receiver and a punt catcher

After punching the best team in football in the mouth for four quarters last night, the Cowboys' cover is blown. Anything less than 10-6 would be a surprise now.

This team is for real. We've watched them transform before our eyes. Could this be the start of something special?

As for Gallup, I'm so happy for him. I know what he's going through and it seems he's found his peace on the football field.

I think the Beez will be gone next year, as will Hurns. Austin will be the slot receiver or they will bring in someone new.

I love Gallup! This rookie is a sleeper, if he was on the Rams or Chiefs or Steelers he would be the talk of the town. We all know our little secret (Dak ~ average to below average passer).
Dak is a tough guy who can scramble, he honestly wont have the shelf life of a 100 million dollar QB. You have to be blind not to notice it. Dak's style of play is not conducive to winning in today's league. No one can convince me otherwise. Honestly he looked better tonight, but if I was the coaches I would challenge him and set him up to make all the throws. If JG wants to get off the hotseat, take control of this team and offense. I'm telling you all it takes is play action, jet sweeps and get the other teams LB's and DL moving during pre snap. Sorry this became a Dak post
Yeah the one big knock on Dak is the winning.
