I'm quoting the 'Lanta fans. And some national media like Pasquarelli. I don't know if they're right or not. But we shall soon see.

Of course, TG can't separate. :lmao2:

I think you do realize it, but just making sure, I do know Terry Glenn can separate. But I bet we can both find a lot of preseason publications that said the Cowboys didn't have any deep speed, and a heckuva lot of them wrote off Terry Glenn. so I take all of the Peerless knocks with a grain of salt, as soon as his production goes back up, the knocks on him will mysteriously disappear.

Well, I didn't know if you were just another Hater, or what. Tho even they don't usually claim Glenn can't separate.

Sure, Falcons fans seem on the whole about as objective on Price as Bufalo fans on Bledsoe...which is why Price's parting shot was "I hate y'all'. And that Pasquarelli piece - I can write that one off too.

It's what Parcells has done re Price, or not done that means something to me.

Until he proves otherwise tho, I will take the critiques with that grain of salt, and the very strong feeling Bill was playing Patrick over Price for some very good reasons.

I'm glad we have Parcells. He turned this organization around. But figuring out Parcells is beyond me. It's not always strictly about talent with him, though he makes it sound very simple. I guess, for me, whether Price can play for Parcells is a legitimate question. Whether or not he can light it up with Drew, is not - but like you said, we shall soon see.

I am pleased that we have someone of Price's caliber to step since one of our top three has gone down. I do believe that he has the talent and ability to help the team if he is used properly. There is no doubt that he does not have the same skill set as Crayton and the things that he will be able to do for the team will not be the same. But we should be able to use Price to our advantage. It will be up to the coaching staff to find a way to use him that will be the most beneficial. And given some of the shaky actions taken by our coaching staff I do not have a lot of confidence that they will be able to do that.

Price will not be a good slot player like Crayton was; he is an outside speed player more in Glenn's mold. But if we put him on the outside and move Keyshawn into the slot (Key has played slot before) we will have the underneath receiver that we need and we will have Price and Glenn running the coverage deep. That should give us some coverage mismatches either way they the defenses go. If they double both Price an Glenn we will have a lot of underneath stuff open for Witten, Keyshawn, the RB's and maybe Campbell. If they don't double both of them we will be getting one or the other (Price or Glenn) in single coverage and we should be able to exploit that for some big plays.

I would not say at this point that I am on the 'Price is Right' bandwagon and I will not be on it until he produces for the Dallas Cowboys. I wish that we could have seen more of him earlier so I would know what to expect but we didn't so here we are wondering. I believe that he has some good skills and speed and I believe that he can be used in such a manner that he can help the team. However, I am not convinced that he can or will be as reliable in the clutch situations as Crayton has been. We will just have to wait and see how the coaches try to use him and how he responds.

What is scarey is this. Crayton and Bledsoe were still trying to get a feel for each other and did not have much playing time togeter. Price and Bledsoe know each other. It might take a few games for them to get their timing back but it will only be a matter of time before they do.

When Price and Bledsoe get it going again this offense could be even more dangerous then it already is.

I just wish Price got more playing time but oh well now he will get alot.

Do not be surprised to see Price get around 600-700 yards and around 5 to 7 TDs.

Please.

We've been told enough it was all Vick's fault. No need to reopen that one now that most seem convinced Mike killed Price's career. ;)

My feeling is what Price is now falls somewhere between star in Buffalo and scrub in Atlanta. Of all the many gripes about him with his last team, the 'can't separate' one is the ONLY one bothers me.

But we shall soon see.

Who would blame a perennial Pro Bowl QB like Vick for Price's lousy performance in Atlanta? Michael Vick is the most electrifying athlete in the NFL.

Parcells is a loyalty guy - btw he was about ready to bench Crayton on his fumbling......

But he was not going to "give" Price Craytons job as long as he was performing.

That all said - todays news that Price has been on fire in practice is encouraging.

Remember that Terry Glenn didn't do well in GB with Favre throwing to him. He just didn't fit the WC offense. I think that Price is the same style of player as Glenn(just taller)and that coupled with Vick being his qb was the problem.

If he was replacing Glenn or Key, I'd be more hopeful, but he's a pale imitation of Crayton. He and Crayton excel at diff things, esp dirty work like blocking. Price is a home-run hitter, not a possession, "keep-the-chains-moving" kind of guy. We'll see.

Is that Harvey Martin in your Sig?!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man he was my favortie dt growing up as a child watching all those sacks.

I'm banking on Price showing the world how horrible a passer Vick is and how much of his talent has been sequestered....:dance3:

You have to know why Glenn "didn't succeed" in Green Bay -

I saw them play the Pats that year. They doubled Glenn wherever he weant and shut him down. Ahmad Green and Favre won the game that day.......

Glenn isn't 5-11. Try watching them standing together sometime or if you have the tape of Key-Bledsoe argument. The difference in heights between Keyshawn-Price-Glenn is very similar. Glenn is closer to 5-9 probably.

I'm saying it's six of one, half a dozen of the other.

PS The guy who said Price is bigger than Glenn is right. I've met TG and stood toe to toe with him, and he's nowhere the size of my husband, who is 5'10, 185. (sorry, but that's how folks married for light years end up evaluating anything...as a comparison with the better half). Terry has built up his body quite a bit, but he's still no more than 5'9". And I think it's the low end of 5'9".

Price was beside TG and Key on the sidelines at the Philly game and he is much bigger...looks like a true 5'11'', really about AB's height.

I prefer Crayton but I think Price will probably do okay as the season goes on. He's best when he's not the #1 who teams are game planning against.

Off topic a bit here but Harvey Martin was a DE. You said DT but I'm sure Defensive End is what you ment.

Now..... Back to our show.

Well NFL.com and Dallascowboys.com both have 'em listed as 5'11". Maybe Terry wears high heels.
