I still think too much for a 28 year old with a 26M and 22M cap hits.
With zero guaranteed left. Which means they can rip it up give him say 20 Sb, back end the contract with a 2 mil dollar base guaranteed in yr one. 7mil cap hit for Ramsey yr 1.

I rather sign diggs. However, if we can get him for a 2nd (not a 1st) then I would be so open to it. Imagine him and Diggs on the field. Teams better run the ball...oh wait they do. So better make that 1st rounder a big guy to clog that middle.

Has to be a second rounder because of his contract imo.

but if they trade they own the contract and if they rip it up, means they let him walk and owe nothing. thus giving up draft picks for something you don't have.

he has to agree to a reasonable deal or else call the Rams bluff and wait until they release him and pay nothing.

How in the world do people not notice that teams cannot wait to get rid of CBs w/ big contracts? Rams don't win super bowl w/o Aaron Donald and Ashawn Robinson.

Of course they do but with no guaranteed money Dallas could do whatever they want with that deal. Of course Ramsey would have to agree but he would

if we trade and have ramsey before agreeing to a restructure. we are either stuck with his salary. or give him the contract he wants or release him. we end up in a lose-lose-lose situation

Well isn't that what teams do before signing? And like I said, there is no guaranteed money. Dallas can do whatever they want with his deal as long as ramsey agrees

Ramsey trade isn’t happening but if it did all that stuff would be worked out before a deal ever gets done. That’s what agents do- if it’s a prerequisite he needs a new deal than any team trading for that is ok giving him one

This team can have $50 million plus in cap space by simply cutting Zeke and Tyron, extending Dak and restructuring Martin and Lewis
Still rather spend any money we muster on trenches which is where we always lose when it counts. Plus there are a lot of good CBs in this draft. Plus, we have Diggs and Lamb due huge extensions which will swallow much of that space. Plus Micah is waiting in the wings for his payday next off-season

This franchise isn't going to get Ramsay. There is no one coming over the horizon. We will grab some really low level free agents, guys coming off serious injuries and guys looking for one final paycheck before retirement. The more injured bottom of the barrel the better it is for Stephen Jones.
