There was / is a wise person that stated: Pride goes before destruction
The Dallas Cowboys fans are seeing this play out before their eyes with the franchise.
So the latest: FIRE THE COACH is now Jason Garrett. Before was Dave Campo, then Chan Gailey
followed by Wade Phillips and the site are now The Clapper.
Not saying keep Garrett because the evidence Garrett is a 8-8 type coach.
Answer me this:
Steelers are now down to their 3rd string QB, lost their starting RB and WR and have the same record as Dallas.
Saints lose their starting QB, don't have Mark Engram and just one good WR. Lost their entire left side of OL and have one of the best records in the NFL.
Patriots have no WRs to talk about other than a good slot guy. Average RB at best and no name guys on the defense other than CB Gilmore and have just one loss.
Meanwhile, in Dallas, if just 1-2 starters are out, chaos/concern grips Cowboys fans. Imagine if Dallas lost Dak, Zeke and Cooper. The Cowboys would be like the Bengals because this franchise lacks coaching. Hence, Garrett is going to be the sacrificially lamb......again. I say again, because the blame will fall on the coaching and not the really problem----the GM.
We live in a time where it is not your responsibility but someone elses. People want the gov't to take care of them because they can't. When a team loses, many times it is either the coaches or the refs fault. Locally, areas are losing referees because of the blame them mindset, not any number of other plays where the players screwed up. The players can make errors but sure hell not the referee.
So now, the Dallas screw--NEW COACH--NEW COACH (or new puppet, new puppet) and again, eventually, a new puppet will be walking the Dallas sideline and fans will be temporarily fan again, only to keep living in NeverNeverLand to the fact it is the owner that sets the culture.
Dallas fans hear it quite often, when they leave Dallas how the drama is so much less. It is more about football and not about being a celebrity. Jerry is a business guy and is selling a product, the Dallas Cowboys. He wants stars so to put butts into his expensive seats and get his team on TV as much as possible. Jerry even said it himself that if he was the GM of the NY Yankees., the owner would have fired him long ago for under performing but there Jerry still sits as the Cowboys GM. As smart of a business man Jerry is, he really is a stupid owner because he will not change. If it was working, fine but is has not for 25 years and the puppets will change, the results will not.
Dallas will not see a Superbowl until Jerry joins Al Davis.........period.
