Pride!

I'm a richard seymour/Vince Wilfork guy myself, both possibility HoF, especially with all the rings.

Rice-Sapp, White-Brown.

In '91 White had 14 sacks and brown had 9 sacks. They held opposing offenses to under 4 yards a play.

Not just running plays, any play. Under 4 yards.

But Seymour, Wilfork were a phenomenal duo.
big fan of both seymour and wilfork...specially wilfork....he just ate people up-front.

Where's the pic of you and Jethro, holding hands and skipping thru downtown Dallas?

Let it go old man. YOU'RE very own GM, owner and Grand Poohba is to blame for a 25 year drought. It's a very different NFL...... Give the remote back to the wife and let her watch Wheel of Fortune. That way at least you"d know you're clueless.

Hate to bring up these bums but......Joe Greene and L.C. Greenwood were no slouches either. :)
Blasphemy! Damn, they were pretty good too but man I hated that team. I put Randy and Harvey above through my blue colored glasses. The Manster was so badass.

Real Question here, not being a wise *** . I never get a straight answer from any of the other. NFCE teams. Now obviously Cowboys have a lot of things to be proud of as a team. Easily in the top 5 of the 20th century, not just counting Superbowls as the NFL has a half a century of history prior. Philadelphia is the only team that actually plays in the city boundaries in which its name from. To me that's one of the best things about Philly as it is a major sports town from Prep schools, College to semi-pro and Pro.

How do you get pride in the city when its not there or is there not any? Hell Lets use Boston Yanks for an Example" The went to NY becoming the NY Yanks. Then the team moved to Dallas and became the Texans. THen again move d to Hersey PA but keeping the Dallas Texans. So did any of the city's still support the team .... most notably the Texans as it stayed Dallas.

Sorry figured a good time to ask as pride is the OP subject

I know cowboyec brought up several alternates in post 17. And even though I couldn't stand those filthy bums, I mentioned the only combo that I could think of that were at least equal to White and Martin. You know Steeler fans think their two are better, but if they're honest with themselves they'd realize just how good White and Martin were. I'm not conceding anything. Just recognizing the talent on our most hated rivals of the past.

Nobody cares about playing within the boundaries of the city the team is named after. I know this is a distinction PHI fans try to make from time to time, but it’s a complete non-issue. I’m more perplexed by why some of you guys think it would be, honestly.

Irving and Arlington are part of the Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex. When someone says they are going to Dallas, it could mean any number of cities in that area. Texas is yuge as I'm sure you've heard.

the cowboys play in a metroplex. not just one city. sounds much cooler to boot.

My post was meant in jest but reading it now, I realize it may have come off as a little defensive. Sorry about that. No doubt there have been some great DE/DT combos over the years, unfortunately including the Steelers.

When the majority of the fans are called the worst fans in the country, yeah I can feel the pride all the way from here.

Thank you all , I got the Answer I was looking for.

The problem is not so much the people of Philadelphia but the people that come from outside of it. My understanding now of Dallas area " Metroplex" is kinda like this area. Being a Tri-State people from different counties all come in and some with bad attitudes. The notorious tailgaters are the worst .... Not all but enough. Its become a place where young people go to party and drink.... They think because of a reputation its ok to act a certain way. Inside the stadium has changed over the last 20 years.

My family has had season tickets since the 70s. I myself don't go anymore I enjoy my 80" tv giant beanbag chairs in my man cave plus i have no patience for the young punks. I do go tailgate from time to time, but only when friends from out of town come in for a game. I met a few guys from the old boards that way and was fun for sure. I think it changed there opinion some as well.

It might be silly and of a fictional character .... Its what that character represents, not the character itself. The Statue of liberty is fictional I dont see many mocking it. Lots of cities / countries have them. But this is exactly why i asked my question in first place. Texas has a few itself btw so whats that say ?
