I am not sure of Al Harris' contract status for 2025, but if he's not under contract, he's gone and will likely join Quinn in Washington unless he gets a defensive coordinator offer somewhere.

Al Harris also has the "assistant head coach" title which means even if he is under contract, the team would have to keep him in that position even with a new head coach because if they demote him, it would break the contract allowing him to leave.

Deion has a 5-star quarterback already committed to 2025 and is telling recruits he is not leaving. My guess is he will remain a coach in college for at least one more season while he sees which team drafts Shadeur and how they perform next season. If Shadeur's team does poorly, it's possible Deion would show interest in coaching that team should the head coaching position become available.

I have never understood the fascination with Chip Kelly. He's a good coordinator but his "fast" offense only works until they run into a team that punches them in the mouth.

I would rather the Cowboys focus on finding coordinators or coaches under them from the coaching trees of coaches who are producing successful results in the NFL for other teams.

Coach prime head coach
Chip Kelly o coordinator
Matt eberflus def coordinator
Keep Al Harris at db
Flood from Texas for line coach

That’s my line up to start the new staff in 2025
Why would you want Eberflus? His DEF was terrible in Chicago. Main reason he has been fired I would suggest.

For those thinking Harris is going to Washington, you could be wrong. Who is their current DC and what is his contract. Because that is the only way Harris leaves Dallas is to get a DC position or better.

Just because they failed as head coaches does not mean they are not great coordinators. Examples. Norv Turner and wade phillips. Prime is not an unknown. The man has been in football his whole life and has won everywhere he has been

I believe it’s Joe Whitt who was our secondary coach under Quinn.

Whitt has been a Quinn guy for a long time.

But Prime is coaching wide eyes kids, who listen to him, like he's the end-all be-all. He's not gonna get that kind of obedience and awe from pro players - especially not anyone who's got Jerry calling the shots.

Just my opinion.

Many fans, like Jerry, just like the attention. Winning a SB is way down the list.
Personally I’d bring in a guy like Johnson, let him pick his staff. But Jerry won’t do that. I think being as Jerry is making the decisions bill is about as good a choice as any Jerry would make. Mike isn’t a bad coach but he doesn’t scheme to the strength of the offense. We only have one WR who can get open on his own. But he forces the others to have single coverage and a well designed play could get them open more. They don’t have the talent to get open on their own so you have to scheme them open. I love watching Lions offense because they create mismatches every play

I think he needs more college time before leaping to the nfl. I want a proven OC or DC who can create winning situations for players. My first choice would be johnson

I agree with that and Deion has stated he's not really a good fit for many NFL players for that reason.

That said, I think he would go to the NFL if he got a chance to coach Shadeur, but my guess is he's perfectly happy letting someone else do that as long Shadeur's on a good team with a good head coach.
