Dowling ran a 4.4 and pulled up w a pulled hammy at the end..prior to finishing..who knows how fast it wouldve been

I really like R. Dowling...he's got good closing speed and is a willing and able tackler.

He plays better in the zone than man-to-man, but he's not bad in man coverage either. Good recovery speed and finds the ball in the air well.

If we cannot get Peterson, I'd prefer to wait until the 2nd round and get Jimmy Smith, but I think he's going to climb up boards now.

But yeah, Dowling is a good one. I'd be very happy with him as a 3rd or 4th round pick.

I agree but I also think some get carried away with the Combine, it is a great tool but not a tell all. Some guys can put up great combine numbers but come game time there are no 3 cones or a bench press or a guy holding a stop watch on the playing field. Many of these guys have spent the last 2 to 4 years proving themselfs on game day and I think that is still the biggest portion when grading players.
