Prince Amukamara

You either make the play or you don't. He didn't, hence he go torched.

Name the real WR's he played besides Blackmon this year?

I agree. But thats not getting torched like you said. Getting torched is being 5 yards out of position. Not in position to make a play.

And where should I start? Against Jeff Fuller, he allowed NO CATCHES, who might I add was the guy who just did very well against Peterson. The pass he caught for 44 yards was on Dennard. When he was lined up on Prince he didn't catch a thing. Against Kansas' number 1 Johnathan Wilson, he DOMINATED. He didn't allow a single catch, yet again. When James Kirkendoll of Texas was lined up against him, he also got a WHOPPING 0 BALLS. Against Missouri he left both Wes Kemp AND Jerrell Jackson with 1 catch each. Against Kenny Stills of Oklahoma he didn't dominate, but he still did very well. He allowed less then half of his total yardage. Jermaine Kearse of Washington he allowed 1 catch for 8 yards. If thats not DOMINATION I don't know what is. Watching Scotty Mcknight try and go against Prince was one of the funniest things I have seen in my life. That was probably the saddest thing I have seen my whole life. He finished the game with 2 catches for 8 yards.

And I know what your weak comeback is going to be. "oh, those are not big name prospects". Guess what, they are their teams number 1 receivers, and Prince Dominated each and every one of them. And its' not like Peterson has played some great NFL talent either. The best WR he's faced is Julio Jones. Go watch film on the Tennesse game. Gerald Jones made Peterson look like his *****. He only had 44 yards, but a long completion was called back and Peterson was always out of position.

This whole year Prince has been DOMINANT. Anyone who says otherwise knows nothing.

Ryan Broyles - 3 catches 61 yards, his big catch of 47 yards was on Eric Hagg

Jermaine Kearse - 2 catches 51 yards, 1 catch 4 yards

Jeff Fuller - 1 catch 36 yards

Also find it funny you say you watched multiple games of Prince this year, but characterize the OSU game as Prince getting burnt. 99% you watched nothing but these YouTube highlights in this game, otherwise you would know different.

He wasn't lined up against Broyles, and IIRC he held Fuller to no catches. Might be wrong though. I think that was on Dennard.

I said this year.

Ryan Broyles - NFL slot WR AT BEST.

Of the guys he's faced Blackmon is legit. Kearse don't think so. Fuller has a real shot.

Other than that he's faced a bunch of nobodies.

He has a chance to be a decent CB, but you would think vs Idaho, W KY, SD State or the rest of those JAGS he could jump a route and get more than 1 pick.

I think DeSean, Macklin, Steve Smith, etc, etc would abuse him and we already have enough of those types of CB's.

On top of that we're awful at getting TO's and he doesn't help fix that issue.

If I want a CB who isn't a ballhawk I'll go Harris or Jenkins later.

Dennard had Stills for the majority of the OU game. Prince was on Broyles.

What year do you think I am talking about? 1741?

He is a SHUTDOWN CORNERBACK. Hence the previous post where I recapped his performances. He is not a playmaker. Hence his interceptions. He completed dominated his receivers this year. Plus he's been unlucky with picks this year. Like I said its not like Peterson faced all world talent either.

Ok, you make a good point. PP faced one elite WR.

My opinion......you should be draft playmakers top 10.

I actually like him, but not at 9.

RT and FS are far bigger needs.

CB is a need soon due to Newman's age but that doesn't have to be a first round pick.

Now if you tell me are taking Prince at 9 to move Newman to FS and prolong his career I'd be ok with that. Solve 2 issues with 1 pick (hopefully solve them).

I think we're good at CB though with Newman, Jenkins, Scandrick, Ball, McCann with good coaching....get them to play to their potential and fix FS.

lol.....don't we already have several defensive backs just like that already?

Ok so please bring me Video of Devin McCourtey in College... I bet he got burned all the time just like EVERY CB ON THIS PLANET. You people need to learn that there really aren't any shut down corners anymore. Other than Nnamdi that's about it. I'll be happy with either if the two to be honest.

I'll give you that Nnamdi is a shutdown corner but so is Revis keeping Reggie wayne to 1 catch.

Personally i think Prince and Patrick both have the potential to be on there level of play. Just because Prince has a terrible game against Blackmon one of the best WRs in college football doesn't make him the next Anthony Henry. I Gurantee you can find atleast 3 or more games of all the Top CBs in the NFL were they were wipped around the field. It happens to Everyone that plays the CB position you will have one of those games were its just the WRs Day.:starspin

I don't see what was all that bad about that video. He got beat on a flea flicker, which isn't uncommon in the college game. The whole secondary got sucked into the run on that play too, not just him.

Then he got outjumped on an underthrown ball, hardly getting "torched." The other bad play was the PI. He got run by on that one. But it happens. And Blackmon may be the best WR in the country.

If that's all you got, I'm certainly not going to say he CAN'T be the guy at 9. He's pretty routinely been rated as a top 5-10 pick, and the #2 CB. But yeah, let's take him off the board because of that video.

I thought he did okay against Texas in the Big 12 Championship. I've seen a plethora of Nebraska games. He has the ability to make big plays, and is a solid individual.
