Obviously not where we would be picking for Jenkins but if we traded down a tad and he was still there.

Just starting to do some extended film work on Jenkins. I previously had these two rated fairly close.

Jenkins is the much more athletic CB. Closer to the mold of Peterson but not as much as an impact player.

I was just wondering how the Zoners here compare the two.

Do we have anyone who would straight out take Jenkins over Prince?

Lets hear your thoughts.

Chris from Arizona, it would be great to get one of your breakdowns. You did a great job on Peterson and Prince.

I like Jenkins, but I wish he were a little taller (I think he's in the 5'10" range). And for someone that size, he also isn't blazing fast.

If he's there in the second for us, i'd consider taking him, but I don't think I'd spend my first even after a trade down scenario.

I've seen Jenkins a few times and I can tell you he's a bit like Peterson in the fact that he's VERY aggressive and susceptible to the double move. But he has great instincts. And IMO he needs to get a little bigger/stronger.

I think Jenkins has better quickness and short area burst where Prince may be alittle more of a technician and more fundamentally sound at this point.

what are people's thoughts on Aaron Williams? He just declared as a junior. He comes with some intriguing size at 6'1, and Newman is our tallest CB.

Janoris Jenkins has shut down the two best WRs in this year's draft class during his career at Florida. (Green and Jones). He has a good chance to run a 4.3 at the combine. I've seen him at 4.42. He plays fast. He works well in a man or zone, and he has that slot potential. Charlie Strong played a ton of man coverage and brought heat when he was their defensive coordinator. If he runs that 4.3, the top 10 isn't out of the question, imo. Top 15 for sure...

However, he was arrested in 2009 because he got in a fight. No alcohol was involved from what I've read, and he wasn't kicked off the team. I hate that part, because I would take him over Amukamara. I think that he is fast and quick and can shadow a guy away from the sidelines.

I certainly think that he should be in the mix, but I do wonder how that arrest will affect his status with the Cowboys. Jenkins comes from Pahokee High school, a football factory in Florida.

I really like him as a player. He has good balance, and that enables him to get in or out of his breaks quick. He is a fast click and close guy who can go get the football. This guy can cover you. He's smooth and fluid. He put it on A.J. Green pretty good this year and read a route and jumped it for a TD on the first play of the Georgia game.

Again, this guy has played really well against Julio Jones in the SEC Championship Game. He's played in SEC Championship Games and National Championship Games. He's been under the gun and battle tested.

I'd take him over Amukamara and wouldn't think twice, but I'm not the guy doing the analyzing. Jenkins is guy who can match up with DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Macklin or Steve Smith or Anthony Armstrong or Santana Moss. He could play inside against those guys, and I think that is valuable. I think Jenkins is a Newman type of player who should be able to play the slot and shadow guys like DeSean Jackson or Steve Smith (Panthers).

Jenkins should be another very good player who is going to rise. He is already on the rise and should be knocking on the door of the top 10 if a team needs a CB.

not steal your board Sdogo

another guy that impressed me yesterday was Pouncy

had the big fella pulling from Center and actually blocking an hitting people

Dallas' Southeast scout better be on the table.

The SEC is going to dominate the first round.

Patrick Peterson
Janoris Jenkins
Nick Fairley
Marcel Darius
Derek Sherrod
A.J. Green
Julio Jones
Cam Newton
Ryan Mallett
Mark Ingram
DeMarcus Love (has a shot)
Drake Nevis (has a shot)
D.J. Williams (has a shot)

Look at what the Chiefs are doing. They are dipping into the SEC and it's paying off.

I'd take the best player on my board in the top 10. I hope Sherrod gets in the mix.

While you're at it, can you do some on Black, the safety, as well?

Let me first start by saying that I wouldn't draft either one at #10. However, if I had to choose between the 2, I'd go with Jenkins. Prince is the bigger player, but I've said this before: he's not a natural CB. He's stiff and doesn't locate the ball very well. He has straight away speed, but not " quick speed ", which is why he'll get beat in the pros. He's less fluid and has less instincts than another Jenkins ( Malcom ), who eventually had to be switched to safety in N.O. for the those same reasons.

In the long run, he'll probably be a solid to very good safety, but not worth a top 10 pick.
