QB - self explanatory
DT - I don't care what Marinelli says, Hayden getting pancaked and manhandled with ease DOES matter.
RB - I like McFadden but we need more.
S - I'm assuming Jones and Scandrick are starting CBs next season.

I agree with you regarding the DT position.

RG3, Kap, JFF would come here thinking they are future starters, not decent back ups. I don't want any of those 3 as our future. Cassell at least seems to know his role like Kitna and Orton.

Didn't Orton force the Cowboys to cut him because he was unhappy with his backup role?

I think this depends on where we draft. Top 5 I think this would be best chance to get a true franchise QB, though definitely not guaranteed but the odds are much better. If we are middle of the pack, true elite talent at QB is rare so that might change our thought process. I would look at WR, DB, or LB if we are middle of the pack. Those would prob be my first 3 picks, depending on how the draft fell.

No. Orton came in saying he wanted to be a back up, and was happy as back up. This is the man who got chased out of town by Tim Tebow. He left because he and Romo had some beef against each other from what I understand. He went to Buffalo glad to be a back up again, then retired after he was forced to be a starter. Neckbeard is happy to sit on the bench and collect a check, and help a little here and there if he has to.

The scheme is not changing. So, we have to get more WRs capable of just beating their man because we aren't changing the scheme. Can't see it even crossing their minds.

Agree.

A guy that can get off the line in press coverage is a must.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I think Bryant and sometimes Williams can beat the press. Just not consistently enough to the tune of, oh, all the time, which a lot of our concepts require.

Just strictly looking at the draft if there is a QB worth the pick that has to be the first pick. You aren't getting a top 10 pick too often and I suspect we will this year
If there is not one worth that high a pick it gets complicated
Trade down or take a pass rusher or CB
We need another pass rusher since I don't expect hardy back and you can never have too many and we need a CB since either Mo or Carr is gone I think

CB, Safety, Running Back

With Carr and Mo most likely gone, Scandrick coming back from a knee injury and Jones being better suited for FS, CB has to be the #1 priority this off season.

If we don't go QB then CB would be a logical pick high in the draft
We certainly have the need

Add HC coach to that.

You can add it to the list... but it's going to be an unfulfilled request.

Not because I'm a big Garrett fan, I just don't think Jerry will fire him.

And realistically if this team didn't lead the league in negative turnover differential (by a wide margin) it would have at least a couple more wins.

DT, S, LB, CB, RT, RB, QB

If the defense get's stronger we can stick with the running game more and let the OL beat on the opposing D instead of being in pass protection all of the time.

I would like to see some 9 to 6 games and opposing offenses trembling before kick off

QB, QB, QB…nothing else matters if this doesn't get handled correctly.
