For what it's worth:

Pete Prisco's live draft analysis
No. 24: Cowboys select: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State Grade
Analysis: You have to like the Cowboys going up to get Bryant. This is a player who will help the passing game in a big way. Forget the off-the-field issues. They were overrated. He can play.
A-
No. 55: Cowboys select: Sean Lee, ILB, Penn State Grade
Analysis: The Cowboys land a real steal here. Lee will be a solid 10-year starter. Jerry Jones and crew are having a really nice draft.

Lee will be an excellent ILB...he's a big hitter, and if you saw the highlights, you know he's so instinctive that speed isn't an issue, not that 4.7 is slow for an ILB...Spikes ran a 5.0 and that didn't stop NE from taking him shortly after our pick.

He's a big, physical, athletic kid who form tackles and gets off blocks...Wade Phillips knows defense and LB's...he got what he wanted, but fans would rather read some crap from a journalist and react to that.

As much as I love the draft, I cant wait to see what these kids are gonna do in spring training!

I think Lee ran a mid 4.6 at his Pro Day . . . . not that it makes a huge difference.

we got the 8th rated player at 24 and the 38th rated player at 55

whats not to like?

I agree with you Dbair. JJ's biggest mistakes have been when he reaches for a need. We have gotten value so far.

We can still draft OL & DBs on Saturday. If our scouts do their job & Jerry sticks to the BPA board, we cannot go wrong. Both of our picks have the chance to be special. This was not the case with last year's draft picks.

The draft is Christmas. Some people get a little cranky when santa doesn't give em what they want. :)

They seem to be doing the opposite of last year, where they chose quantity over quality.

They're willing to pay a small premium to ensure they get the players they like, and i'm fine with that.

He improved his 40 to a 4.6 and 4.64 at the Penn State Pro Day.

Hopefully they can do the same w/ OL but Im not sure we have 5 quality starters let alone depth behind them

Chances are he will see alot of nickle and special teams to start and this is the NFL where injuries are 1 play away add to that our starters are not spring chickens any longer
