It's Pete Prickso, so take it with a grain of salt...

Here are his NFC East Overrated/Underrated Players:

Dallas Cowboys

Overrated: S Roy Williams. They should retire this spot for him. He has been overrated for years -- he won my overall honor a few years ago -- but he still goes to Pro Bowls. How?

Underrated: DT Jay Ratliff. He stepped in and played well at nose tackle when Jason Ferguson went down. If Ferguson comes back, Ratliff might move to defensive end to compete for a starting job.

Ah Prisco at his Finest...

I like his selection of Ratliff -- I have a good amount of respect for him. Although who is he going to replace at DE should Ferguson "come back?" That's just funny.

Roy Williams overrated? NO! What an original article!

New York Giants

Overrated: TE Jeremy Shockey. It's chic to jump all over Shockey these days. I still think he's a heck of a player, just not the superstar some think him to be.

Underrated: G Chris Snee. He's Tom Coughlin's son-in-law, but he also happens to be a really good player. Snee is one of the elite guards in the NFL -- even if he hasn't been to Hawaii.

And from the No **** deartment: Jeremy Shockey overrated. And, I don't think anyone underrates Snee -- most people I read say he's damn good linemen -- probably the Giants best.

Philadelphia Eagles

Overrated: CB Asante Samuel. He's good, but is he really that much better than a healthy Lito Sheppard? Some scouts think he freelanced too much in New England and he isn't a willing tackler. Good player, just not a great one.

Underrated: RB Brian Westbrook. He continues to be the only real weapon on offense, and yet he can't get to the Pro Bowl. The Eagles must have him getting 25 touches a game.

Well, fault #1 is using the Pro Bowl as THE determining factor if someone is good. Really, could that game be any more irrelevant? I don't think ANYONE underrates Brian Westbrook. He's a great player.

Although an interesting pick with Asante Samuel.

Washington Commanders

Overrated: WR Santana Moss. He had a big season in 2005, but wasn't as effective in 2006 and 2007. He has averaged 58 catches the past two seasons. That's not No. 1 receiver production.

Underrated: DT Anthony Montgomery. After shedding weight before the 2007 season, he became one of the surprise players on the roster. He's a force in the middle of the Commanders line.

Yeah -- I have been saying Moss isn't a #1 receiver since the end of the '06 season. That's not really news. Although I like his selection of Montgomery -- he's going to be run-stopping monster in the middle of that line for quite some time.

Samuels is gonna rob the eagles and im gonna sit back and laugh, the eagles can't bring pressure as well as they could before nor like the pats can so there goes his pressure ints. who the hell under rates Westbrook?

It is absurd to think that Brian Westbrook did not go to the pro Bowl last year. If you combine total contribution, I'm not sure there was a RB in the NFL who did more for his team. LT or AP are the only possible exceptions.

Interesting. Ferguson was traded to Miami on March 1, 2008. The same day that the Eagles acquired Asante Samuel. But the author doesn't know Fergy isn't in Dallas any more and therefore won't be pushing Ratliff to DE.

Well, Taylor died and Roy was the sub. That said, it's not his fault he was the beneficiary of a murder.

lmao...I know. It was the delivery.

these look very familiar, at least the Roy is overrated, and Chris Snee is underrated, I think he used the same line he used for Snee last year

Inexcusable that Prisco didn't have his facts straight about Ferguson.

But unfortunately, it wasn't the first such blunder from CBSSportline.com's crew.

And I'm sure not the last mistake either.

Honestly, that's been disproven. Roy was the leading vote getter at SS. Taylor at FS, therefore Hamlin was more the beneficiary than Roy in this case.

I was wondering when someone was gonna bring that up. I guess they can't keep up with everything but it looks like they would at least look at the present situation for the players talked about.

Makes the whole thing look amateurish to me to not have facts straight.

Yeah, Prisco was wrong.....again. Westbrook did play in the Pro Bowl.

Blocker magnet?

I agree. But he hasn't made a reputation of being at the fore front of NFL info. Not sure how he got to where he is. I'm sure he's better than I think.

Overrated to the Giants could go to David Diehl. He led the league in sacks allowed last year and got a new contract for his troubles. Furthermore, Rich Seubert came in and did a better job than Diehl did when he played left guard.

I like how a perennial pro bowler in Westbrook is somehow underrated.

YAKUZA

How could anyone who watches football say Brian Westbrook is underrated.

Good Grief.

The guy is one of the top15 or 20 players in the league. He is ridiculously good.
