Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys had six picks in this draft and five are still with the team. They had two first-round picks in running back Felix Jones and corner Mike Jenkins. Both have had their moments, but not enough. Jenkins was a Pro Bowl player in 2009, but struggled last season. Jones is inconsistent. Tight end Martellus Bennett, a second-round pick, has tons of potential but hasn't used it yet. The best pick might be fifth-round corner Orlando Scandrick, who has started at times but is coming off a good season as a nickel corner.

Grade now: C

Grade then: A

It's kinda questionable that he gives the Panthers an A because a bunch of the players are starting. But then again, Prisco's an idiot, so what do you expect?

Also I don't see how you can give the Cowboys a C. They get a lot of plays out of those players.

Im going to wait one more season before deciding if Felix and Mike Jenkins are players or not. They have both shown flashes of brilliance and both have had moments of shame. This season should tell us which is closer to what they really are.

If the point of the draft is to get better, then getting starters out of it is a sign you are drafting correctly.

It doesn't mean your team is good. just like our crap drafts doesn't mean our team is bad.

Both '08 and '05 drafts Dallas had multiple first round picks. Those drafts were good drafts for Dallas.

To suddenly label the more recent one bad, based upon a bad season, is kind of self serving by a mediate.

Doesn't the quality of those starters mean anything? Maybe they're just starting because of a lack of better alternatives? Just because someone starts doesn't mean they're any good.

The Felix pick is an F---

Ur grade of Felix gets a F---

I predict a 1,000+ yds, 500+ rec yds and 7+ td this upcoming season

Don't let me down Felix

Love how some think that just because 41 of your picks are on your roster that is a good thing. Carolina picked first because it stank with those 41 picks on its roster. Kind of shoots that theory all to crap.

Like those hung up on VALUE in a draft. ALL that matters is making your team better - VALUE means NOTHING.

Of course it does, in context of a teams success.

In context of draft success however, getting starters is always a good thing. If you draft starter worthy players year after year, eventually the talent on your team will get better.

Felix is an F? haha, I give the oline an F, not Felix.

No way Felix is an F, however, he is more like a C or so.

Why a C? He was a 1st round draft pick and has managed to start only 8 games over three seasons.

You expected him to come in here and start over MBIII?

last year I had suggested a hypothetical trade for Felix Jones. I said if anyone would give us a top 10 pick would you trade felix jones. I got dragged over the hot coals and attacked. their logic was the jones is the next coming of emmitt+ dorsett+sanders.

now, we see people giving Jones pick and F.

this year we drafted a RB in the 3rd. that should say a lot.

Show me where someone said he was the second coming of any of those players, because I don't believe it happened. That would be incredibly dumb for anyone to even suggest that.

He was a 1st Round Pick. 1st Round Picks are life-blood of any NFL team. You don't waste them on players you expect to be backups.

So yeah.

You do if you're Jerry Jones. :bang2:

Grade is at worst a B-.

The team has two starters in Felix and Jenkins. MartyB is underachieving but he also gets tons of reps on a team with the best player at his position in the entire world.

Scandrick could end up a starter here and even if he doesn't a nickel corner should count as a starter in draft recaps because of the amount of plays they get and the value of the player.

With only one player out of the organization that has been a plus draft. If Felix and Jenkins have bounce back seasons in 2011 it becomes an A again quite quickly.
