A lot of you seem to think that the pro bowl is not a game. Maybe, to some, but too players and coaches all games count. I can understand you're thinking if you have never played or coached, but those of you that have been in the trenches, I would suspect that you might respect this game a bit more.

I love the skills challenge, they should expand it. The best part of All-star weekend is the slam dunk and 3-point contests, and the best part of the Midsummer Classic is the Home Run Derby.

I want more of that stuff. '1st and 20 at the 30' simulations with both offenses going against both defenses, kind of like the penalty kick things at the end of european soccer games. Or like overtime in college games. Who's better at stopping this/scoring with this?

Hands challenges like the WR thing at the combine: run through a gauntlet of 5 QBs on each side firing passes just 2 seconds between each one.

Coffin corner punting challenge. 60 yard field goals from all the way on the out of bounds line, who can hook it? QB challenges where you need to hit a WR with 2 corners on him, or be more accurate than a computer-aligned jugs machine.

That stuff would be sweet, like the strongman competition stuff. Vote on the events every year, so it changes. Like next year fans want to see a footrace between all the RBs, DBs, and WRs. We don't need to see it every year, replace it with Olineman vs Dlineman tug of war the next year.

IMO for players to be selected means a lot. Cause it can help them in regards to their second or third(etc) contract.

I don't think players take the game that seriously though. It's about having fun and making sure you don't get injured.

I agree with @Aerolithe_Lion that the skills comp needs to be expanded.

Would even love to see things like the top guards go up against the top DT's in an one on one duel.

Cox vs Martin for example would be fun to watch.

That would get more viewers
Everyone knows the pro bowl is a joke
Move it around from nfl city to the next so fans can attend
That would be much more interesting
I still want Larry Allen on my tug-a-war team

Exactly; that is why the players play so hard in the Probowl game every year.....no wait

All this game is, is a cash grab for the NFL. It means nothing and the product on the field isn't at the level of regular football games. I am pretty sure there is a rerun of OCC that I'll be watching instead.

Of course everyone would like to win the game, but it's still an exhibition game thrown together in a week, and there are a lot of different rules with the Pro-Bowl, including a limitations on offensive and defensive formations that can be used, no shifts on offense, no blitzes, no rushing on FGs, PAT's and punts, intentional grounding is legal .... the whole game is an exhibition format.

Ok. I understand, some fans either have never strapped it on or just have no competitive spirit
