Pro Bowl Voting Is Open

Just gimme Ware, Witten, and Lee. No to Bailey since I don't want to jinx his future. Just stay under the radar and continue to be solid

I've got Phil Costa as my starting center.

I agree. Ware, Witten and Lee. Jenkins got my vote but only those three are deserving and Lee is marginal although I'm a huge fan.

I think Newman deserves a look this year. As does Sensabaugh.

The only guys I can think of taking over Newman in the NFC this year are Carlos Rogers and...that's it. Maybe Charles Woodson if you go on team popularity alone, but GB is the 31st ranked pass defense this year.

I agree that Newman and Sensy should both get a long, hard look.

But the guys that should definitely be in

Ware
Lee
Witten
Smith

the pro bowl is the biggest piece of **** popularity contest ever...

Smith has been average at best - quite a few sacks, quite a few penalties. He is doing well for a 20 yo rookie but that's not how the Pro Bowl is graded.

I think he'll soon start on a run on nods to the Pro Bowl but not this year.

Yeah I've watched too much of Tyron to know he ain't a probowler yet, at least not this year. I was thinking Costa.....ok nevermind, noone on our OL deserves it at all.

Only Ware is absolute, Witten should get in on reputation alone, and with Lee's injury (without a reputation to this point) he will still have an uphill battle.

Of course, I will vote for every Cowboy on the ballot....but thats just me.

Right now it would be Ware, Witten, and Lee as the only Cowboys I could see myself voting for.

By years end I could possibly be adding Jenkins to that list and hopefully Dez or Miles will step up and start earning the right to be voted for the Pro Bowl as well.

Witten ... I really didn't like his play against the Eagles - he had 12 passed thrown his way but only brought in 4. Several of those were balls that he made little effort on. I love the guy, but he seemed pretty uninterested

Lee was the NFC's best defender in Sept -- that's not marginal

Yep..Revis and Asomugha were AFC starters last year despite having 1 interception all year between the two. Now you can play the 'bu bu but teams dont throw it their way card' all you want, but imo you cant use that as an excuse to punish guys like jonathan joseph, leon hall, brandon flowers, guys who actually had the numbers to back up their play.

There's more to being a cornerback than just getting interceptions. Both Asomugha and Revis are great at taking their man out of the game.

Uh oh. Someone thinks fantasy football = Real football

You and dummy above must not have read the whole post. There were several corners in the AFC that did the exact same thing as Revis and Asomugha, while maintaining better stats across the board; tackles, interceptions, and passes defended. Not just 1 stat

Well that's because teams are smart enough to not throw to Revis or Asomugha.

17 tackles, 6 passes defended, 0 interceptions
26 tackles, 10 passes defended, 0 interceptions
33 tackles, 11 passes defended, 4 interceptions
37 tackles, 8 passes defended, 3 interceptions
56 tackles, 14 passes defended, 2 interceptions

Fools like to argue about everything except for the numbers. Again, what I'm saying is the pro bowl (starters atleast) should be awarded to guys in the bolded. If you want your reputation-guys to get in off the bench as well, fine. Imagine Demarcus Ware getting 25 sacks, and yet Reputation Player X who only has 5 sacks gets to start over him because he was double teamed more often than Ware. What kind of sense does that make?
