-Where should I stay?
-I'm not coming in til Sat afternoon and will leave Mon as early as possible..... Is there a decent sports bar near the stadium to watch the games Sat night or something nearby I can just cab it to? Don't see a reason to rent a car if so.
-Most importantly, I don't know the stadium that well. What's a better view, upper level middle or lower level corner to 20?

I'm not an expert, but I've stayed in Las Colinas before and it was very close to the stadium and a really nice area.

If you're looking for something cheaper, there's a Days Inn or something like that right across the highway from Texas Stadium, and you can walk under the overpass to get to the stadium.

For sportsbars, there's a Humperdink's just north of the stadium on West Northwest highway that'll have all the games.

If you can shuttle there that is half the battle in my opinion. I always get the Blue Parking Pass so I dont mess with walking and most importantly the jockeying for the exit. Is the hotel you are staying at offering shuttle service? Some do. I have sat in Luxury Boxes and thought they would be cool but I never liked them as I didnt feel a part of the atmosphere up in there even with the sliding window open. I prefer what most people like and that is close to the middle. Stay away from the visitors side if possible since the sun shines mostly on that side. However, I would be happy sitting there over sitting at home any day!

A lot of times when you buy tickets from places like ebay, they can show you what your seat will approximately look like to the field.

I would say upper level middle of the field. I have upper corners and I love my seats. great view and a great angle to watch the defenses move around.

as far as bars go, someone else will have to help you, I am almost entirely a shut in!!!! i couldnt even really rate the bars in Dallas.

Stay at a local hotel -- the Omni was very nice.

Take a shuttle or taxi to the game. Just be ready to wait around an hour or two after the game to get a return taxi. Spend that time, going to the coral, looking for fallen pocket change, beating up giants fans.

The taxi will be cheaper than the parking.

There are really no bad seats in Texas Stadium.

True. The only thing I would say is if you sit directly behind the goal posts, it is hard to see forward progress at times.
