Listening to Talking Cowboys it seems CP would have to have been cut yesterday not to have his 1.5 million salary guaranteed fr the season...is that right?

Is he with us for the season then? Or would we really be able to trade him?

BTW, he may not be a great player but... his Silence of The Lambs impression on T Choice's YouTube channel did make me laugh.

Think another $1.5M would stop Jerry if there was a better option to fill a roster spot especially if we're still sitting at $14,500,000 and some change under the cap? hmmm..maybe..but what about Bobby C and safety RW...we held on to RW too long ..possibly due to money?..and perhaps the same with Bobby C who would possibly have been cut by now hadnt money and a #1 been invested in him.

Yeah seriously. I really don't get what the deal is with Proctor, it's not even like he's getting league minimum or something that would justify keeping such an inferior player.

I think the Zone needs to have tryouts for a G/C who can replace him. Reality, go work a deal with Jerry for next season where the Zone has tryouts and the best player gets to go to Dallas training camp.

When did they say this? I checked and the only part I can find on Procter is at the 24:00 mark. They mention the team could be trying to trade him (speculation) by the deadline, but I never heard them say the contract would be guaranteed.

I don't know if restricted tenders are guaranteed or not, but I do know it's typically vested veterans(4 accrued seasons) who have guaranteed contracts.

That's where I have noticed that the rosters for the Cowboys and NFL have Procter listed as 5 yr player which is incorrect. Although he was signed by the Cowboys in 2005 it was in November so he didn't play his first yr until 2006 which makes him a 4 yr player and needing to finish 2009 to be vested. That's also why he was a restricted free agent instead of a UFA. (He had only finished three seasons instead of four.)

So I don't think his contract is guaranteed unless there is a provision for restricted tenders.
