Wittemn.....1 TE that I would call a very good blocker/...... thats it? Thats all you got is 1? Face the facts. Njoku hasnt done jack squat even close to what Schultz has done the past 2 seasons. No way is Schultz not getting more than Njoku.

I didn't say anything about Njoku. I was just saying it's important for a TE to be a competent blocker as well as receiver.

"Competent," isnt a very high bar IMO. I cant say I remember ever hearing people discussing Tony Gonzalez or Shannon Sharpe's blocking skills. They may have been all star blockers, I dont know, but their careers had zero to do with their blocking skills.

This new young stud in Atlanta, the TE that came out of Florida last year.... is he a "Competent," blocker? Im being serious as I have no clue. But my guess is that he was not drafted 5th or whatever it was because the Falcons covet his blocking ability. The days of the bruising TE are over.
