It'd be great to get numbers like that from Crayton and Austin. I see Felix Jones running for nearly as many yards as Marion Barber this year..on MUCH less carries.

Those seem about right. Except Felix. I think he's going to have 1200-1300 yards of total offense with around 50-60 catches. He's just going to do work next season! I hope Romo doesn't throw 19 picks though. That's alot. I'm hoping for a 30 TD-12 INT season for him.

I should also mention they have Romo at 503 attempts, for the year and a combined total for the RBs of 381 attempts.

Thats a pass/run ratio of 57/43. And they have Kitna down for 49 attempts, so really it would be even higher, closer to 58/42.

If this panned out these are the "touches" per game we'd see...

Romo - 31 (pass only)
Barber - 17 (Run and Catch)
Felix - 8 (RaC)
Choice - 5 (RaC)

That's fine because you probably have to factor in Felix getting screens and running Welkeresqe type routes, so the passing attempts will probably be skued a little. Although I want Felix touching the ball more than 8 times a game.

Alright, help me out here. I've been a huge Cowboys fan for all of my life, and I love Marion Barber as much as the next guy.... but if Felix Jones is projected to average almost a YPC more than the Barbarian... why does he get HALF of the carries of Marion? I don't get that logic...

Marion will be used in goal line and short yardage attempts. Essentially getting a bulk of the 4th quarter carries. If he's getting alot of carries in the 4th then it's a good thing. Means we are leading and are just pounding the rock. I'm with you though. I think Felix needs to run at least 10 times a game and catch about 3-4 balls a game.

Well, you do have a point. But the thinking here is that Barber will run more often in short yardage situations. He's also not a home run threat that Jones is. Doesn't mean he's not as good, just different. He gets the tougher yards and is more taxing on a defense.

I think Jones will prove to be the better player this year, provided he stays healthy. I watched him very closely last season. From what I could see, he ran with power as well as speed. He's not just some scat back. He's has ok size and plays a little bigger. What really impressed me is that he ran well between the tackles when asked to.

I think Romo's interception totals will go down with the subtraction of TO and if the running game is as good as shown. I also think Felix will have more passing yardage than what they list. (Both Felix and Austin's yards per catch is too low imo) I expect better production from Bennett also.

Too many INT's for Romo and I think he's good for 30 TD's in 16 games. Too many catches for Crayton and I'd rather split those 53 catches with Stanback or Wilson. Felix should have at least 10 TD's by season's end. If healthy, Barber and Jones should reach 1,000 yards this year IMO. I like Choice a lot, but with Garrett (ex-QB) calling the plays, he'll be lucky to get 500 yards in 16 games. With these 3 RB's in tow, I wish we still had Parcells in town. Let's hope Garrett doesn't squander this talented trio, because I think they are the key to the promised land.

I think the WR #s are very high - one of those three is getting maybe 35 at most.

I see Jones pushing Barber and eventually taking many of his touches. They seems to project he's going to get the receptions.... I think it will be the carries. Jones I see getting 150 carries. Barber maybe 175. Jones is going to be the guy people fear.

150 = 9 carries a game for Jones
175 = 11 carries a game for Barber

Don't like that kind of output one bit, because it probably means we're behind and have to throw more.

I agree it is too many, but I don't think 30-12 is very likely. People want Romo to not turn it over, and rightfully so, but if he dials it back risk wise, he won't throw 30 TDs. I don't think he can have it both ways. I do however think Romo can be a pro bowl quarterback playing more conservative or staying the same.

If Felix Jones is the same as he was at the start of last season he will carry us to the promise land as long as the team comes together as a family.

plus whatever we give Choice, that's likely ends up around 25 carries a game, just from the backs. Throw in the 50 or so carries that you get each year combined from WRs and QBs and you are going to be in the top third of the league in attempts with that number of attempts.

Williams - 78 catches for 1128 yards, 7 TD

Austin - 60 catches for 720 yards, 3 TD

Crayton - 53 catches for 756 yards, 3 TD

All these numbers are realistic expectations in my opinion (as long as people stay relatively healthy). HOWEVER, the totals for Crayton and Austin need to really be adjusted. The "projections" that ESPN has given has Romo and Kitna completing passes at a 71% rate. Highly unlikely. Now, if you adjust the total catches of Crayton to 33 and Austin to 40, the total number of receptions drops from 393 to 353. And, given Romo's career completion percentage of almost 64% (63.6% to be exact), that new number of 353 is VERY REALISTIC. And, so is that pass distribution chart. Those "adjusted" numbers next year would be AWESOME, especially if they take those 40 less completions and turn them into running plays. Because, once again, ESPN only has the 'Boys running the ball 419 times, which I just don't see happening this year. I see a total more like 450.

By your stats you have Romo with 4001 yards passing and our receiving yards at 4569, that either means Romo is getting hurt or we are winning big and our backup QBs will get time in blowouts, then add more recieving yards from our 4th and 5th Wrz and other offensive players and your looking at about 800 yards from our backup QBs along with 400 catches meaning we will throw the ball over 650 times, that's alot of passing....
