Since we pick early 4th, I figured I would throw out a few players for each position that I have rated 3rd or higher. I would prefer to stay away from many of them because they don't fit our system. I think I came up with like 35 players, so since both picks are within the top 23 of round 4 we would be getting what I think are value picks. There are some players that I would take before others on this list, but since I have them rated 4th or lower I left them out. I am interested to see if anyone has any additions or changes themselves.

Troy Smith - Ohio State

Blades is a great player but I guess we have enough LBers, huh?

Yeah, he was one of those that I would take but left off this list because my ranking has him as a 4th.

Yeah, we should be set at LB unless we were to trade James or something.

Big Paul has got to be the obvious choice here...

I'd probably go with P. Soliai at NT.

Goose had him ranked at number 78 in his top 100 as well. I think he'd be good value in the 4th for us. On top of that, it's also a position of need, in that we need serious depth there.

I guess the other players I'd look for with the other 4th rounder is A. Pittman, D. Free (he'd be great value there though we've already drafted Martin), J. Beekman at Guard, M. Bush, and Babre (sp?) at Guard.

soliai would be a damn good value pick late in the 4th. i still like bush a lot. brown would be a damn good pick. he played with a toe injury most of the year, but most people had him as a better corner than ross before the year started.

not having a 5th is going to hurt. would love to get rid of a few 7th round picks to move up.

I'd also through in Kenny Scott since he's got starter potential and CB is also a potition of need; should be available with our 2nd 4th round pick. My first choice for our first 4th round pick is Paul Soliai--cause he's the biggest possession of need we have--cause there's no way he will be there later. In fact I'll be on pins and needles until we pick him.

Now if backup NT and future starter Soliai wasn't a big need, I'd be happy with Beekman, Bush, Alliaison, Free, Fry & 1-2 other players. It also possible Cowboys will overlook Marcus Thomas offfield problems and take him with our 2nd pick since he even probably better option then Soliai.
