Proposed New Nike Longhorn Uniforms...

I do think, however, if they didn't go with the two-tone shoulders, these would be an awesome modern progression on the classic uniform.

Also, the material being mesh in some parts, etc. is what you can probably expect for the NFL uniforms to be revealed next week.

Adidas >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nike. :D

i always thought so, but i was a soccer player, so their soccer stuff was always way better than nike's

Adidas puts out quality jersey technology while maintaining the general appearence of most uniforms. Nike just can't leave well enough alone it seems.

I wouldnt want a recruit seeing those things :laugh2:

well, if you say its way better than stuff NFL teams wear during practice, why not?

in all seriousness, changing the UT uniforms (or OU, bama, usc, etc) would be like the yankees wearing stuff the marlins wear, just plain stupid.

I like a lot of Nike's jersey designs but some are just too forced.

I think Oregons uniforms look good most of the time. A couple have been awful.

I'm interested to see how Nike does with the NFL stuff.

Surely they don't think they can completely revamp things.

I'm hoping Dallas gets some different pants.

I've seen worse.

I liked the all white Longhorn uniforms on the road. It had a sense of being 'the good guys' even though they were on the road.

Why would you take a classic uniform like Texas and change it to that garbage?

Because that is what Nike does and somehow it's passed off as great. They did the same thing with SU basketball, taking great classic uniforms like this:

They should stick to making sneakers.

Those are way nicer in terms of material than any practice jerseys I've ever seen an NFL team wear, let alone a college program.

That "Eyes of Texas" bit and the Texas flag make me seriously doubt these are just practice uniforms. You don't put that kind of detail and stitching into practice jerseys and pants.

doubt all you want but it is straight from the ADs mouth, these will be worn for the spring game on sunday, these will not be worn on game days next season

I hope they stick with that, but today's recruits like that crap...

I remember when Oregon changed their uni's to the nuclear waste they wear today. Recruits actually considered them even more because of the uni's. Drug test them immediately...

The Texas uni is a classic... like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, etc...

You don't mess with that...

PS 30yard... I always thought the Ags should go back to the vertical stripe shoulder jerseys and white helmet...

That silver jersey was the worst thing to happen to Syracuse basketball since they took "men" out of the nickname. Made me sick.

Having said that...Cuse's white jersey's with blue numbers that they wore in the Ryan Blackwell days were the best they ever had just fyi.

Styles change. I doubt people wear the same thing they wore thirty years ago. no matter how great they were then. Just because something is new doesn't mean that it's bad. I wonder if Broncos fans hated it when they got the Orange Crush uniforms and got rid of the yellow and brown ones.

The reverse is also true: new is not automatically good.

i hope you are talking about street clothes because uniforms for sports are a whole different ball game
