Props to Julius Jones who proved a lot of us wrong by showing the flash that he had last year.

Props to DeMarcus Ware for proving a lot us wrong by dominating a game.

Props to Terrence Newman for taking care of Steve Smith in more ways than one.

Props to Roy Williams for making that pick and having a hand in Steve Smith's demise.

Props to Terry Glenn for being the man as far as our receivers go.

Props to BP for having this team fighting for its life- some calls were questionable, but props to him for not playing for a FG after seeing that Cundiff couldn't hit one with a laser pointer on that running into the kicker miss mess.

Props to Bledsoe for hanging in there despite taking a beating.

Drops to Rob Petitti- whew kid, that was just bad.

Drops to Billy Cundiff- he should've been cut right there on the field at halftime.

I still think they miss the playoffs, which is a collapse of monumental proportions and an indictement of the coaching staff and the talent level of the team, but tis better to win than to lose on Christmas Eve.

I'm sure BP's christmas list has a new kicker and a couple of Tackles on it. I can only shake my head when watching the O-line. I won't even talk about kickers. Nice showing by the rest of the guys.

If the talent level of the team merits an indictment, how can you blame the coaching staff? It's been oft stated, but I'll repeat it; at the beginning of the year 10-6 looked pretty good and really was at the upper edge of possibility. We improved substantially from last year and look well positioned to improve again next year.

I wish we could have done better particularly after a 7-3 start, but injuries pretty much doomed us and they can not be predicted. In today's NFL, the backups are not all going to match your starters and we were exposed at key positions. All in all, still a big improvement in my book.

Well, 7-3 to 10-6 or 9-7 just ain't good and the coaching staff has to share some of the blame.

and the players don't?

I know how you like to hold the coaching staff accountable for everything, but shouldn't some of that accountability rest on the player's shoulders as well?
