He called a good game today...I would have liked to see a couple of more runs, but the game-plan was good today.

Phillips made a big difference today....way to trust him.

The players executed and JG called a couple of more running plays to the left as opposed to the right which hasn't been working for us and got MBIII a TD over there.

well say hello to our next HC

agreed good use of the running backs, hate though that he runs the draw so much

oh wait we need to attack the middle of the field when opposing teams are blitzing their LB'S:p:

Well, as of now I don't want to fire Jason Garrett anymore :D and I was firmly on the "Fire Him" bandwagon after last week.

Like someone mentioned in another thread where did the real Garrett go? Abducted by aliens or body snatchers? He called his best game of the year.

I wouldn't go THAT far, but I would like to see him do the same sort of things over the next two games.....

His situational play-calling was much better tonight inside the 20.

If Garrett would just have an aggresive game plan like that every week he would never even be put in that position.

He called a fantastic game.

Felix finally got the bulk of the carries too and I saw everyone on offense contributing.

Excellent job Jason. That was a masterpiece. Never go away from what you did tonight.

JF got more carries than he has in his career, but not a bulk of the carries....14 to 17 for MBIII.

+10000

I've been VERY critical of Garret this season, but I'll give it up. That guy called the best game of his Cowboys career tonight. Exactly what the doctor ordered.

I'm glad Jerry gave him a, "Pep Talk." And I like the way we started off running the ball and then boom!!! Play Action Pass deep to Austin for 6. That set the tempo for the 1st half...

He made a few small mistakes in his playcalling, but if the players can increase there level of execution, then maybe JG will allow more leash to the players.

Haha...I prefer my crow baked with a side of wild rice pilaf :lmao:

Time Of Possession....which I consider to be very important was:

Dallas: 36:26
NO: 23:34

I just hope he keeps it up

he's pretty good at calling a great game, and then following it up with going back to what doesn't work for a stretch

very good game plan, but once again ( and yes, it hapens to the best of 'em ), he still needs somebody to check him. He got way too pass happy in the 2nd quarter when we could have run the ball a bit more.

And for some reason, he still doesn't believe in dumping pass to the RB over the middle. TR at times had a ton of time to throw the ball, without finding anybody open, and happened to eat it. The middle of the field was wide open for the Cowboys all night long because of the Saint's blitzes.

Our mistakes were also minimal.

Agreed. We needed to spread em out and run Felix.

However, when the game was on the line, we passed the ball and made plays. We executed, plain and simple.

He's still on my **** list. He did call a very good game tonite but that's one out of a lot of other 'what was that'. I did appreciate the play action calls and less of the gun. I give him kudos for that. I'm still on the fence about him being HC here.
