Defense is a serious problem
Rookie QB with only three starts = a combined 61 attempts, 31 completions, 276 yards, no TDs (no INTs btw).
A "get right game" opponent for the Dallas defense: sell out to stop Derrick Henry; confuse and harass Malik Willis into mistakes when he does attempt to pass.

He tried to get the ball to Schultz and there was a DE between them, guy jumped up high as hell and intercepted it. After game Dak said he didnt think that Sweat would be able to jump that high, misjudged his length.
I didn't think he jumped that high. I thought it was just a very weak throw that never would have reached.

I don't actually think there is a 'hate Dak' group.. I think there is just a group that sees Dak for what he is and what he is not.

I am firmly in the 'Dak is an above average bus driver that got paid way too much and makes way too many mistakes to be effective' category.

I thought he had a brilliant day yesterday.. one of those games every year where he DOES play to that 'elite' level.. BUT he also threw another really really bad interception.. that was all on him and meant that we gave the Eagles all the momentum early. He also was going up against a defence that sold out (watch the all 22 tape) to stop the run.. and I mean SOLD out to stop the run. Eagles came into this game statistically ranked as a good pass D and poor run D.. they were determined to stop the run.. and they did. That meant a lot of soft zone coverage, and Slay could not stop CeeDee running routes from the Slot all day. Moore and Dak played ELITE level to take advantage of what the D was giving up and took BIG yards. Maddox getting injured REALLY helped with this as well.. as it took away the corner coverage that had been causing Dak to hesitate in the first five offensive series.

So yesterday we saw Dak.. a bad intercept.. near perfect recovery.. AND THEN we also saw two of the dumbest QB decisions that nearly cost us the game AGAIN. The decision not to 'stay in bounds' just before the 2 minute warning.. and the decision to take the sack and lose 9 yeards when we had a chance to close out the game. These were both POOR decisions.

The reality is we then gave, yet again, an opposition offence almost 2 minutes and a time out to drive the field. Luckily tor us.. the D came up with a stop against the back up QB and we won.

I would argue (yes with a straight face) that had Hurts, Brady, Mahomes, Allen, Cousins, Rodgers.. etc etc.. been driving then perhaps we would all be sitting here lamenting another 'blown' game.

So I'm not hating on Dak.. I will gladly acknowledge that he played at a very very very very high level this game.. but those mistakes were still there and that should worry any fans that want more than just regular season wins against back up QBs when the playoff standings have already been decided.

The mind blowing thing is that people like you seem to think there are qbs across the league who play perfect games.

I dont care who you are talking about EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM will make bad plays, EVERY SINGLE GAME.

Played well, defense has me worried but let’s see what we can do in the playoffs now.

Same. Hopefully Hankins and LVE returning helps, and one or both of the new CBs find find their stride and give us a boost.

Teams are short passing us to death or running the ball down our throats. Gotta find an answer

never would have reached? The pass was straight on a line drive, but that was the issue. Needed to be a high lob. Without the DE jumping yes the ball would have reached

There’s some members that only throw in other posts (half heartedly) ever. They nearly exclusively post about how bad Dak played.

It’s fine to critique him, we all get it, he’s not Joe Montana, but they take it to a weird level. And it’s actually fascinating. For real.

Dak plays like that all the time when they lean on him. You either dont watch or dont pay attention. Or your just another troll acting like it doensnt happen.

In 2020 before Dak got hurt he was averaging 375 passing yards per game.

Trust me.... I watch closely.... I had lost my faith in Dak after the 49ers playoff game and the Bucs game thinking he didnt have what it took to win in the big games.....but slowly I've been seeing more positive things and big time clutch plays since his returning from injury.....this time it's a bit different because I'm seeing a different more aggressive and less tentative Dak.....it's the Dak I've been asking for.....the one that isn't afraid to trust what his eyes are seeing and throw it.....no double clutching.....even though it's resulting in more picks, it's gonna pay off in the long run. He should have taken this less conservative approach a little earlier on in his career.

Losing faith after a playoff game against the best defense in the NFL niners? LOL

Why would you do that? Dak, ironically was our best player and outplayed Garrappolo by a mile. Niners D went into GB and shut down Rogers the next week. Do you think GB fans lost faith in Rogers?

Yes it was a good game by him. He went toe on toe with a backup QB. Thats more than you can expect from him.
wait, Minshew plays defense...wow. I didn't know that....was Minshew playing DB? or LB? I kind of missed that.

or did you mean to say, he went toe to toe, with second best defense in the league...

I corrected you........... you are welcome.

Early pick 6 and then did really well. Threw the ball really well. Our Defense is not well. Quinn needs to tell the DE to speed up and go back after the qb again. He slowed them down to help with the run. Rest Parsons or keep him back at LB for a while,.
I believe that’s exactly what he did

I am positive some of them won't...they will over analyze every incompletion, focus on the interception and call some of the throws lucky....GAURANTEED
come on @khiladi don't let me down boy
Yes. I was being sarcastic. Some will hide and that’s cowardly, but good for the zone. Some will try to explain away the elite play and that will be funny and good for the zone.

Still some mental errors. That has always been my concern with Dak. We can say “since the interception” all we want but it still was a huge negative play. There were also 2 sacks deep into the red zone when he simply had to air mail it out of the back of the end zone including one that may have prevented sealing the game with a late TD, not staying in bounds before the two minute warning and the almost game ending fumble Biadasz recovered on which he had 3 seconds to unload the ball before the strip sack. So I’m not going to say he was as great as some are this week, but I’m also not going to say he has been bad this year. Yes he needs to play better but he hasn’t been anywhere near as bad as some have portrayed.

I also loved how he ran a couple of times early when it was there (and again in the play before the two minute warning) and how he looked more for the backs and the short throws when they were there but also hit some deeper throws including the huge play to TY. IMO Dak has been pretty accurate this year. It’s just the mental side he needs to improve and I think Moore and the coaching staff need to keep it a little simpler for him and by pounding the run and using a lot of PAP and keeping the safeties up and also hitting those short passes to keep us out of 3rd and long. I think we can keep doing these things and I think he can have playoff success if we do. As a matter of fact he has generally played good enough for us to win in the playoffs in his career.

Dude....he sucked in the 49ers game. Bosa and Warner left for most of the game and Dak had time and open receivers all game. He was hesitant to throw and could not read the field.

Green Bay won't lose faith in Arod because he's done "it" before and can do "it" again. And he's been doing "it" with almost no help. Dak has not done "it" yet and has shown regression late last year and in this year's bucs game. And hes been given the weapons to succeed too......big difference. So yeah of course one would lose faith and think it might be time to move on.

DUDE!!!!!, he was better than Garrappolo. Much better. He outplayed his counterpart and sadly was the best player for us that day.

Defense gave up 170 yards rushing and 2 TD's. ZERO sacks by the great Parsons or anyone and Zeke ran for 35 yards on like 16 carries. Oline didnt show up at all.

Niners did EXACYLY what they do to just about every offense. Shut them down. Just like Rogers.

GB wont lose faith because they arent as stupid as some of the clowns on here. LOL
