Stepped in for Dat and we missed nothing. Made a key tackle in red zone on McSoup scramble. And was stellar in coverage. I tip my cap -

Kids a football player - period.

yeah... sure... Bradie James (this weeks leader of the defense) played a lot better

You knew we wouldn't. One of the few things we agree on. ;)

suprised it took you so long Nors,he did play well today in Dats absense, and dare I say so did B.James

Shanle didn't save a touchdown and Shanle didn't make a 3rd down tackle to end a series or a 4th down tackle to end the game

Bradie James did.

I sorta thought they won in spite of him.

James stepped up well. Shanle snared McNabb at 5 on a QB scramble on the FG sequence. Huge play.

Dat was out and Shanle stepped in and we skipped no beat. Fact.

They say that Shanle is better in coverage than Dat and Westbrook did virtually nothing today.

Coincidence?

Rich........

Bingo -

BP said in a preseason PC that Shanle was the best coverage LB we had. We kept Westbrook in check? Coincidence? I think not too...

Shanle looked good. He should be about 6'9" / 295lbs about now. Think I read that BP had him clocked at a 4.3 as well.

Nors called this one, gotta give him that. I was very nervous about Nguyen being hurt, but Shanle and Bradie James stepped up, bigtime.

Nope - Shanle is 6-2 245

A walk on at Nebraska, late round draft pick.

Kid has earned everything he has. He'll smack you in the jaw, covers like a demon and was a nice part of our win. Replaces Dat and gives up 3 points to Eagles - and stiffs westbrook. He didn't SUCK if thats what some are trying to say.

Give the kid props - he deserves it -

There were two reasons why you started this thread.

1) Your never-ending self-promotion.

2) To get a rise out of people.

I was just trying to help you out with No. 2.

He probably played pretty well. I haven't broken down the films yet in my basement.

I do believe that Dat Nguyen is still a better player.

It helped our linebackers that we were in a four man line much/most of the time.

Looked like a 4-2-5 with Roy moving up to the line, alot.

Thats our nickle - Great when we are up 24 in the first half! Life is good! We can then sit back and grind it out.

We won the game attacking first half!

We played the nickel extensively....including the first half.

Shanle had three tackles. Sorry if I don't slobber all over him. I'd still rather have Dat in there.

Maybe tackles aren't all that?

Maybe its better to defend and thwart passes in coverage! Go Shanle! Win against eagles starting! What is Dats record there?

Changing of the guard in place!
