In the last 11 Quarters, our D has given up only one TD. In the same span, our offense has scored 5 TD's. I'm good with that... you?

you take away one bad call by Zimmer, and he has pitched two perfect games, i'd say he's doing real well with the 3-4

Nope this is a props to the Defense thread... the Zimmer thing was an afterthought. The guy takes more grief than Lynn Scott ever did.

The defense has been doing a great job most of the year but the last two weeks have been phenomenal. I knew this defense was going to be tough but I really didn't expect them to gel this soon. I'm Lovin' It

Great Defence today...No Question.

But how do you let Shockey get that wide open on 4 & 10 and for the touchdown?

We won so no big deal...BUT this has got to be fixed, or it could cost us next time.

The defense is getting it done...no doubt about it.

We're not gonna score 30 points every game.

Yeap. And for me he takes it with reason. This was just another meltdown of the defense when we needed them the most. And this is not against the players. They really played great ball. It's just always the same with Zimmy!

And btw. just imagine we would have stopped the Gints and needn't go into overtime and wouldn't have lost Crayton for the season?!

ZIMMER GET LOST!!!!!

I've supported Zimmer for quite a while now....

But I think there are serious flaws in our defense that need to be fixed.

I think we're still very shaky on run defense.

Teams seem to be able to march down the field with their two-minute offense. This is alarming.....This, more than anything, has to be addressed.

It seems that we go a little more passive on third and fourth downs. We don't bring the heat.....On the big plays to Shockey and Burress, Manning had plenty of time to throw. It's one thing to play coverage, it's quite another thing to allow receivers too much time.

Again, I think Zimmer has done a fine job since he's been our DC. He's had very little talent over the years, but our defense has always been solid. Now, he has so many young guys.

Hopefully, the problems I listed are due mainly to the youth we have on the defense.
