Scouts from ten teams were present at Baylor University’s spectacular new indoor facility on Thursday to watch 14 Baylor players — plus two from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor — run drills on FieldTurf.
Center J.D. Walton (6-3 3/8, 300 pounds) will stand on his combine results.
Wide receiver David Gettis (6-3 1/8, 216) ran 4.46 and 4.39 seconds in the 40-yard dash and will stand on the rest of his numbers from the combine.
Linebacker Joe Pawelek (6-2 1/4, 237) ran 4.76 and 4.75 in the 40-yard dash, had a 30.5-inch vertical leap, 9-4 broad jump, 4.45 short shuttle, 7.31 three-cone drill, and 13 bench press repetitions.
Defensive back Jordan Lake (6-1, 209) ran 4.79 and 4.79 in the 40, had a 30-inch vertical leap, 9-8 broad jump, 4.54 short shuttle, 7.29 three-cone drill, and 14 bench press repetitions.
Defensive end Jason Lamb did not participate. He recently underwent shoulder surgery and should be ready for Baylor’s second timing day on March 25.
