Hey everyone, I wanted to let you all know that my daughter and I will be heading off to the Vancouver Olympics on the McDonald's Champion Kids program.

She along with (5) Canadians, (10) Americans, (1) German child and (1) Ukranian child will be enjoying an all expenses paid tour of the Olympics.

Included in our itinerary is the Opening Ceremonies, Speedskating and we were just told a trip to the USOC (United Stated Organizing Committee) house. The USOC house is the only Olympic site not allowing public traffic so it should be real cool to see the house, the US Olympians and have a formal dinner there.

Article on my daughter's lucky day.

She has been e-mailing all the kids to get to know them better before the trip and she's excited to meet all the kids on her program.

I guess it's safe to say I won't be here too often during the next (6) days.

That is wonderful man. The olympics is one of the events that I plan on taking my boy to when he gets old enough.

Congrats. What a bunch of great memories you two will make and have forever. Very, very cool!

COngrats man. Hope the blog is coming along well.

I am really looking forward to the olympics.

Wow! Congrats to your daughter! Reading that article she is wise beyond her years. What a cool, confident little girl you have there. :D

Have fun. What a cool father/daughter trip!! Be sure to bring a camera and capture every moment.

...well wishes. My little girl is going to have an experience of a lifetime...Unfortunately it's with her Dad who is a football nut and has no time for her during football season.

This is going to be a real special time for her and I. Typically I only get to see her when I take her on road games with the teams I coach. That's getting real old in her opinion.

This is my chance to make up for the rest of the year. Wish me luck.

I was at the opening ceremony in Lillehammer in 94

it was pretty cool, a once in a lifetime kinda thing

enjoy every moment of it

What a wonderful experiance you all have in store! Congrats to you both. Friends of mine were planning to go up to BC this year for the Olympics, but the life stuff intervened. Should be a blast.

You all hail from Saskatchewan? I spend most of a year up there in my youth. My most serious experiance with Winter ever! My attempts at skating caused many others to fall down as well....mostly from laughter...

Congrats!! Enjoy!!

I can't wait to watch it on tv myself.
