Well, that was a surprise as the distractions have been as bad as they were during the "reliable source" and the hang Werder movement. I expected another fall down in this game with a team that seemed to be correcting their problems playing a team creating new ones but they came out with purpose and that purpose was to shut everyone up....at least for a week. Instead of giving into the distraction, they used it to their advantage.

I am like a lot of you here, is this real or is this a mirage? Was that the real team or is that one on TDay and in CHI the real team? What the hell just happened? Where has that team been?

The QB and WR's have a mundane game and they blow the Rams down and play the most complete game of the season against a good team with a winning record, no longer 0-6, now 1-6 against them.

To make this even more surreal, the two players catching the most heat for even being on the team step up and one makes a highlight TD catch and the other has a day like most of us thought he should have confirming for me that Sean Lee is my most questionable player of what might have been if he'd stayed healthy all these years.

I want to believe that team is the team and not the one on TDay and in CHI but I've hardened my hopes with "won't get fooled again". This chameleon of a team can easily change back so I am at the prove it stage.

They're going into hostile territory with that team's season on the line. They've pulled out two wins in a row so their confidence level is pretty high but I still sense they're not really sure about their erratic QB. They're a cornered prey and if this being a must win game isn't enough, they were embarrassed in Dallas and their HC embarrassed with his prediction of a win. They have every possible motivation any team could have and they will be ready.

So, which team is it? The one on the 7 win side or the 7 loss side? The team that is capable of beating any team, including themselves. Are they a team that is a flash or can they sustain that "shut the hell up" game they played yesterday?

The records don't matter, the trash talking the East doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is what is this team. That one that played the best and most complete game of the season and one of the best played by any team this season or that team than can only make a statement when cornered and then will revert back to beating themselves. Time to prove it!

I do not think the team can realistically inspire too much or too little confidence in their potential at this time. A new 3-game winning streak would be nice but they have been there, done that already, and sit at 7-7.

In my opinion, regular season wins against the Eagles and/or Washington down the stretch will not spark another Believe campaign for fans. I think whatever the team can do to win their first playoff game, IF they reach the postseason, will be the starting point of solid confidence in what they can do. I would not blame anyone for being extremely cautious with their expectations at this point.

Yeah beating the mighty Vikings in the wild card round would be a good step in the right direction.

If Dallas makes it to the playoffs, I'm pretty sure they'll be playing someone that's already beat them during the regular season. That could be good or it could be really bad. I don't think home field advantage is going to play any part in this game. A team that is 8-8 or 9-7 hosting a team that could have easily won their division does not give me a warm feeling about the outcome. Even if they won, the competition will only get tougher and worse yet, all road games; some in very cold weather. We all know how this team plays in inclement weather.

Since they'd get the 4th seed, they'd get #5 and that could be SF or SEA. They play on the last Sunday of the regular season and we could get the loser of that game.

it seemed to me, coach, that Kellen moore and Kris Richard had complete autonomy to call the game as they saw fit. Marinelli did less pacing and just watched from the sidelines. Richard was the guy shouting at the players on the field. he even called a few surprise blitzes late in the game rather than the typical prevent defense garbage. moore had his eyes on the field analyzing every play. garrett seemed to watch it all unfold. the talent is there. I truly think they will maintain this level of play.

Then we can forget about the divisional round if we have to play Seattle or SF.

As beat up as philly is right now, I still don't see us marching in there and dominating a cold weather, outdoor game. We are an indoor team.

This is very normal for our team.

Underachieving, getting into the playoffs, winning a home wildcard game, and taking an L in the divisional round due to playing a team with = or better talent and our coaches giving us no edge.

It will be tough but better in Dallas than there. The SF fans have been as loud as the SEA fans, damned legalized weed isn't slowing them down.
