PUP Return Rules - 1 player

I apologize in advance as I know you all have discussed PUP many times. I understand that one player can return and we don't have to designate which player now. I know that Romo is on the active roster so he doesn't apply to the limit. I know Rolando falls in a different suspended category and doesn't apply to this rule.

So, who are our current PUP players that might be candidates to be that 1 player? Perhaps Jaylon Smith and James Hanna? Or is Hanna on a different list where he could return without counting to our limit of 1?

Any player on PUP can return (Hanna, J. Smith...).

One player on IR can return. Kellen Moore, etc..

If a player is placed on IR during the season, is that player eligible to return, or do they need to be on it before the season starts.
Or can they move McFadden from NFI to the IR, then activate him from that, in order to get around the 6 week NFI rules. Then he can be available around week 14 if needed.
Same for Jaylon Smith. Say when his 6 weeks are up, then they go through the 2 weeks practice time and all that. Then they have the option to put him on IR. And then if his nerve fires and he can play, can he be activated.

They can return if they are placed on IR during the season, but only after 6 weeks plus two practice only weeks. The clock starts the week they a placed and only one player can do this

Suspended- RMcClain-10 weeks, DLawrence- 4weeks, RGregory-14 weeks
