Purdy Didn't Have to Wait to Long For His Bag

So far we're not paying to stream NFL games. If it does happen, and I decide the product doesn't justify the cost, I'll stop watching. Same with fast food. I stopped watching boxing when they went PPV.

But here's the thing. Everyone saw the 49ers get to the SB with Purdy. So it's clear it can be done if you properly surround the QB that isn't great. But all QBs can't do that. It still takes some talent.

The surrounding talent that made that SF offense hum is starting elsewhere beginning with # 19 . Ricky Piersall the # 1 pick last yr seems a poor substitute

Believe me steaming will be the regular viewing of the NFL especially the playoffs . Free TV Fox CBS NBC will be the exception . Amazon already has Thurs night if your not Amazon Prime your SOL .

Seems like this board is completely ignoring my posts regarding this topic...

The posters flood to hate on a situation, but when reality hits them in the face they go silent...it's a bad look.

Stable QBs is what wins games late...not great, deep teams.

It's the QB who, with 3 minutes left and down 2 touchdowns, that brings teams back into games. He does it with passing and stopped clocks. Running game can't do that.

With the parity in the league and a lot of games close....it's the QB at the end of close games that lifts his team.

It happens practically every other game...you can't deny it.

QB is so so important late in games...but this board doesn't want to focus on that...it wants to focus on hate.

Late in close games, it's a QB battle. Sure, it's a team game, he needs adequate blocking and good OC play calling, but it's the QBs that win these games more times than not.

My opinion is, GMs and Owners see this...and owners/gm's and agents all agree on the price of QBs.

Qbs are responsible for near half of the offensive plays since a lot of teams pass/run ratio is near 50%.

Qbs do more than any other position, then have the game fall in their lap late in close games.

This board is blinded by analytics and the talent/income flaw of the position....but Owners/GMs seem to have a food grasp on it.

ASSUMING ALL IS REAL, MOST GM'S WANT STABILITY...for viewing pleasure and for the ability to stay in games.

This board is just hell bent on some weird flaw in QB pay and wants it fixed, but there isn't a good avenue to fix it.

I'm not saying give up on being creative trying to fix it, I'm just saying GMs, with real issues, aren't doing what this board is suggesting

Sure, but what you're missing is that it takes a top D to even get there.

If you watched the superbowl and still don't comprehend what role the D plays, I can't help you.
