you should probably stop reading scouting reports from those poeple then.

I think Maurkice is the better of the two but they ar the same build in every way. They are identical twins. Mike will be a solid pro OG but not a C.

They might look alike, but they dont play alike.

His brother was the far superior player.

I think PP is gone within the top 5 picks providing Buffalo doesn't draft Cam Newton. (I can't imagine Ron Rivera is that stupid) Even then, I actually think Denver grabs PP.

Unless Rivera takes Dareus I don't see Denver taking PP.
Carolina might take Newton, you have to look at the money side of things too. Cam Newton can be alot more marketable for the Panthers. Rivera might not like Clausen and needs a new QB. If Carolina goes QB(Newton, Gabbert) then Denver goes Dareus. Buffalo depends on Carolina. If Carolina goes Newton then Buffalo goes Miller. If Carolina goes Gabbert or Dareus then Buffalo goes Newton.

Top 5 could look like
Newton
Dareus
Miller
Green
Gabbert

or

Dareus
Peterson
Newton
Green
Miller

or

Gabbert
Dareus
Newton
Green
Miller

Winning is a hell of a lot more marketable than a single player is.

It would be absolutely ignorant to let a marketing person pick your draft choices.

Its not called a marketing person its called the owner who wants to see full stadiums and jersey sells.
Just got to think about that side of it. If they are sitting there saying #1 pick over all. 50 million gaurnteed, and we have Dareus as 1A on the board and Newton 1B who can make some of that money back for me.

I think Pouncey would be a great pick and our our needs are all across the O line. There is real value in versatility and he was also great at center for Florida. The knock ws the shot gun snaps. If we can't cure that, then we need to fire the line coach.

I think we ignore the OL altogether in the first rd(rationalizing that its a weak draft for OL).

Considering the state of our OL, I think that would be the worst thing we could do if we stay at 9 or trade back. You must go OL. I don't think anyone else is worth it. Both need and talent wise if Smith is sitting at 9. The only other option in my mind would be trading up to grab someone even better.

i could live with 2 OL in the 1st in this draft (after trade down) more than taking PP. even if the OL are "just solid"

so any of

mid first: carimi/pouncey
trade back into late first: pouncey/sherrod/watkins

i this case we still have our own 2nd where we can go brandon harris or phil taylor or even trade down and pick up kendrik ellis in mid/late 2

this coupled with a mid/late pick 3rd up of d. williams (as FS/SS) and signing of huff rounds out our roster much better

we can pick up Ras-I dowling in 4th (if we went ellis or taylor in 2nd)

if we do this, our only real concern remains ILB which can be overcome if lee pans out this year

Ras is gone by the 2nd rd

6 #176 Chris White, ILB, Mississippi State 6-3 #240 - 2010: White compiled 13 starts and 110 total tackles to lead the Bulldogs. Plays downhill and able to shed blockers in the hole and make tackles. Great sense for the ball and quickness to get to the point of attack. Good lateral movement. Drops well in coverage. Hard worker and good leadership
