Rumor circulating that Gruden wants to rebuild with younger players and that Cook MAY be a casualty on cut down day. Guy can still play at 31 years old. Had a very nice year last season in Oakland. Worth a look if in fact he does get cut?

At this point, why not?

Does anyone really think there's a chance of him ending up in Dallas?

Wouldnt need to give up anything if he does get cut so thats a plus! Cept cap space that is....LOL

Yeah but I'd rather have the guarantee. Give up a possible 4th rounder for an instant TE1 to stand in while we wait to see what our guys have. I'd be more than happy to replace camp darling Rico Gathers with a proven TE.

He DID US IN against the Packers in the playoffs a couple years back. Might be nice if we could return the favor to them while using the same player! :D

His career best has essentially been at the level of Witten at the tail end of his career where a fair portion of the fan base thought Witten was a detriment to the team. I don't see any reason to restrict the current TEs for the sake of signing a guy much of the fan base has already determined performs at an unacceptable level.

Regular season will come around, the team wont be trying to look at 4 different TEs, and there will be game planning with the first team offense in place. Our TE play will be better than we have seen in preseason.

LOL.

With this front office? 5% chance.

Cook will get snatched up well before we decide to hit the bargain bin of 53 man roster casualties.

no because theres no need for him. hes not going to help us get to the play offs. hes not going to hang around for years. whats the point?

If you think he can improve your TE crew, you bring him in.

This lastest charge that we shouldn't look to bring in guys because he won't help us get to the playoffs is bizarre. Shoot, why try to improve at all then?
