We gave up only a 2nd rounder to move up from #14 for our #2 rated player on our draft board, while the Commanders moved up four spots in a bidding war with the Browns for RGIII(3 1sts and a 2nd). I believe we robbed the league on this one. Excellent pick.

Not to mention we did not really get to see our second from last year play.

I think Bruce Carter is gonna surprise people now that he is healthy.

According to this the trade up was worth 600 points and 45 was 450 points. The Rams would have been well within their rights to ask for our third too which still would not have been equal value.

Premium picks in the top 10 are worth more now than ever before. Russell Okung went 6 in 2010 and got 6 year $58m with $29m guaranteed. Jones went 6 the following year and got 4 years $16m $16m guaranteed.

One of these things is not like the other.

It was a steal in terms of value pick for pick AND we got the guy who was easily the best defensive player in the draft. People that do not like the pick more than likely had a pet cat that was not gotten and are going to whine no matter what.
