kinda like the facts of losing 3 games by a total of 5 points? gotcha

Losing is losing...the final score is irrelevant. Back when we had three 5-11 seasons in a row, we lost a lot of games by the 13-10 score and our defense had numbers that looked top 5 because teams were very conservative and made sure they didn't beat themselves...we were awful. We are now a much better team than that, but hanging your hat on how close the games were only leads to disappointment. To quote a former Cowboys coach and HOF coach, "You are what your record says you are."

The Cowboys in 2009 were 8-5 and the Saints were 13-0; that's a New Orleans team that was fully five games ahead of the Cowboys.

Yet tonight's game feels much more like a mismatch in favor of the Saints for some reason.

I have that bad feeling like I did against the Broncos that this will be one of those "moral victory" games. But, my college team (UCF Knights Baby!) had an unexpected defensive stand at the end to win last night, so why not the Dallas Cowboys!
