The Cowboys will never again be a relevant playoff team while Jerry Jones is the general manager.

I am honestly starting to truly believe this. I have never been so apathetic about the Dallas Cowboys in all my life. GM Jones has sucked the life out of me....

:lmao:

Will we get in trouble bumping the headline thread declaring a Cowboys victory?

Better to be confident than run scared.

That being said, the team in blue were the confident ones last night. I would hope Jones lets the scouts and coaches shop for groceries even though I know better.

Many of us have been saying this for years.

The day Jerry Jones went into the draft room during a lunch break and placed Quincey carters name in the second round on the draft board, going against everyone in the draft process and then selected Quincy Carter in the bleepin second round, I knew he was in way over his head....

Everyone who thinks about the Cowboys with their brains instead of their hearts has known this since the moron ran Jimmy out of town.

I've been a huge Cowboy fan since before their first Super Bowl win. It's been one of the biggesty passions of my life (sad I know). It's just not fun any more. It's more of a emotional drain. It's terrible to care so much about something you have absolutely zero control over. As much as I wanted a win last night, I'm equally glad the season is over. The whole thing was such a disaster. It's even hard to look forward to next season. Sad.

THIS. And ain't nothing been right since. I totally agree with the OP as well. This franchise is irrelevant.

He drafted for backups in the 90's can't remember the year now, he has always been over his head.

Like they were in 2007 and 2009? Because a division round appearence, a final eight appearence, is by any reasonable definition......playoff relevance.

BTW-I'm as dissapointed and bitter as anyone here today. And I'm taking some solice in the money I know Jerry's not making next weekend.

I think it was the first draft after he ran Jimmy out of town.

Imagine that.

Also don't forget about the equally bad "special teams draft" as recent as 2009.

Jerry doesn't get it.

He's a rich guy playing god with his team.

I guess if that's what he wants to do, so be it.

The franchise is irrelevant when it comes to big football games, playoffs and super bowl talk unless you're talking about the past. The team is relevant in tv ratings, merchandise sales, drama both good and bad, sports radio talk show topics and Jerry having his hand in everything both in and outside of football.

al davis jr. has run the titanic into the iceberg: worst team not named the washington Commanders in the nfc east: I HATE jerrah like hos hates campo and kickers:bang2:

Impossible to disagree with this. The comical thing is, he's hanging onto this b/c of ego and the need to receive credit, but he's only making it worse on himself. The longer he goes without winning hell, even two playoff games in one season, the more damage he does to his perception as a puppeteer.

At this point, the 90's are ancient history, (and his level of credit for those teams is in debate already, anyhow) and no one views him as a competent GM, if they ever did. Winning one more SB after ALL of this failure won't change that.

Yeah. I've been a fan for a long time. But, "The team is relevant in tv ratings, merchandise sales, drama both good and bad, sports radio talk show topics and Jerry having his hand in everything both in and outside of football.", is not so relevant anymore because the popularity of the team is shrinking and will do so as long as Mr. Jones continues his current management style.
