We have 6 picks in the 7th, so you need to add another player.

I am ok with your top 2 picks. I do not like Will Sutton. I like Thomas, but his recent injury makes me want to pass and go for someone healthy who can compete from day 1. Aaron Lynch has the body and the talent, but he has no work ethic, drive, or self discipline (I'll pass). I like the Bishop pick. I know nothing of Williamson. I would rather have Thomas than Crowell. Even though I wouldn't draft a QB in this draft, and Logan Thomas didn't impress me all that much in college, I can dig the pick. He has all the measureables and athletic ability. He has a cannon for an arm. He isn't a knucklehead. Really all he needs is help with mechanics and touch. With Tony almost never missing, Thomas can work on that with the coaches and lower end WRs and TEs. Trey Burton I know nothing about.

Good catch, I forgot my 7F: Pick any FB you want that likes to smack people in the mouth and can catch. I love the 280-290lbs Sutton, which I think if drafted by us, we'll ask him to get back down to that weight for Rod's scheme. Even at 300+, he's still a nice 1-tech under Rod. My round 1 pick is the immediate competitor for guard with Thomas being too talented to pass on in the 4th. Lynch is a headcase but a talented headcase and we need as much talent on the DL as possible.

I like the Brandon Thomas pick but have a feeling he might be available later than the 4th given the injury. I admit that it a risk to wait, all it takes is one other team to jump the gun, but I think I would wait until the 5th round at the earliest. With that said if things shake out the way you predict I'd be pretty happy.

I wouldn't risk letting a talented player get away. ACLs aren't worth downgrading a player like it was in the past because of modern medicine. You may get away with passing him up once in the 3rd, but twice is asking for trouble.

Yep I imagine alot of teams see him as later round steal now and not sure he lasts to our pick in the 4th, much less the 5th

I understand your logic, and he certainly may end up getting picked that early. Maybe I'm a little gun shy. I loved the picks when we selected Lee and Carter (Lee is my current favorite Cowboy) but at the same time I realize that they are guys who had an injury issue in college and have had a diificult time staying healthy in the pros. It just makes me think twice about what round would be the right time to pick a guy like Thomas.

That's a reasonable mock, but not my first choice.

Switch out Sutton and it would be better. I have a feeling that he is a Drake Nevis clone and we saw first hand how that worked out.

You picked several of my pet cats in B. Thomas, Lynch, Bishop, Williamson, and Crowell. Just replace Sutton with Billy Turner and you'll have most of my pet cats.

Are you taking Logan Thomas as a QB or as a conversion to another position?

I was thinking Quarles at Sutton's spot as well. I think they ask Sutton to drop weight to regain his quickness. Thomas purely as a developmental QB.
